Time for a new case...for lots of rads!

Hmmm, interested in the whole do you have to pay customs tax (or whatever) on EU stuff.
I was going to buy from a UK retailer, but that adds a sizeable chunk to the price.

EDIT: Found this link, for those interested

It would appear provided you buy from an EU country and not special territories (channel/Canary Islands etc...) and you're not buying fags or booze then you shouldn't get hit with any extra charges at all!

Regardless I'll probably be buying in the UK and more than likely from OcUK (unless they don't have the case I want at the time of asking).

You description for loads of rads and future upgrades screams out for a caselabs sth10 but it's way over your budget.

Yep, it's probably too big as well, I've seen some pics of it next to an 800d and it dwarfs it :p

The only caselabs case within budget and spec would be the smh10, but then I have shipping etc... from the states to deal with.

I looked at some of these cases but all the hassle of shipping soon put me off.

Hi why not get the case you want and use a oversized radiator passive cooling on a stand less noise with quick release couplings if you have to move it.

Phobya Xtreme Nova 1080 Radiator
Phobya Xtreme 1080 Radiator
Thread Size : 1/4"
Colour : Black
Fan Compatibility : 9 x 120mm
Dimensions (WxDxH) : 390x46x365mm

Just a thought, thats what l'm thinking on my next build. :)

Yep :( Though I'm now looking at a Mountain Mods Pinnacle 24, plenty big enough, pre-shipping cost with the customisations I want will run around $300, just need a shipping quote from them

I already own that very radiator :p Which I'm looking to sell too! If its of interest let me know and I'll list it in the MM :)

I'd love to keep using it but I can't have anything external when the nipper arrives.

If that's from America then you'll have to pay customs on it too.

Yep :( But just exploring the options for now, my final spec with them is $350 so its probably out of budget once shipping and customs are taken into consideration.

Edit: Going to shove up a wanted thread, see if any gems creep out of the woodwork.

We may have a winner depending what the final pricing ends up at.

Google: EK Watercooling Chassis - Nebula X2

Second link down, takes XL-ATX, 2 x 360's in the front, 1 x 480 in the roof, have sent EK a support ticket to ask for some more pictures and update on availability and EU pricing as its not listed on EKWB yet.

Jeez, are you cooling a nuclear reactor or something? lol :) :)

I don't think you'd have cooling problems with all that rad space and rads fitted.

more radiator space = less powerful or no fans at all, so I can keep high overclocks cool without having to ramp up fans. A 3820 @ 1.5v with a pair of 7970's around 1.35v is going to kick out enough heat to warrant me going with so many rads :p

Well other than being that fugly CSQ design EK do, I don't see where it says ATX-XL (unless it's known by another name)?
Also seems a little odd that the description says it can take motherboards with larger dimensions that the case...

Yep noticed that too, I've contacted ek for more information, so hopefully get more info soon.

Doesn't say xl-atx, many don't as it falls under hptx/10 slot, hptx use the same mounting points as xl + a few more on width :)

Csq doesn't look too bad on the case front, looks better then the boring bank of 5.25 covers anyhow :)

Only time will tell though.

Back to the drawing board, the ek case was a sample product never intended for public viewing, which may explain the specs being odd, either way it's not getting a public release as ek are far too busy with their current product range.

Back leaning on the z70b, I would have tried the phobya ultra big watercase but it has so so many design flaws.

Scratch that, can get the phobya case for ~£145, can live with design flaws for that price.
