Time for a new case...for lots of rads!

I should have weighed mine too, see what it was complete. Just glad the cosmos had big grab rails to make it easier :)

:p

One things for sure, I won't be doing this build on the kitchen table and moving back to my desk in another room. Think I'm going to try 1080+360+280 for radiators, though I need to make some stainless pipe work for the outside radiator.

Indeed, a very beautiful case. And surprisingly well priced for a black interior Lian Li. Only discovered it myself as im looking for a possible replacement. Gonna cost way too much to mod and powdercoat my A70F.

Theres also a door version, which surprisingly is even cheaper, (was the opposite for the A70F and door front A71F). It also has two 120mm fan openings on top, (seems to be just the one on the 75) You could get another fan opening cut to enable fitting a 360 in the roof.

Don't bother with the A75, i got one last week & have sent it back as the build quaility is poor and it's flimsy as hell (I have owned around 10 Lian-Li's in the past). what i can't understand is everywhere else but the UK the A75 is way cheaper than the A76.

Is it that bad Amidar? Ive gotta say, my A70F is pretty sturdy and it's one of the lower priced cases in the LL range. Build quality on it is excellent.

Yeah it is :(, powder coating on the inside is not that brilliant, the anodising on the outside is poor the outer panels are paper thin. It's just a shame as previous Lian-Li cases I have owned have been way better than this, seems like they have cut down on quality to make the case cheaper but at the same time it's not worth what they are asking for it.

So the quest continues to find a case to replace my ATCS 840 :)

Thanks for the further info, looks like powdercoating and modding my A70F might be the better option after all.

Corsair George @ OCN said:
The "panel" isn't a full length panel, it's only in the front 1/3 or so of the case and it's not adjustable. The front can fit a 240 while a 480 or 420 is in the bottom, or you can fit a front 360 and a bottom 360 or 280 on one side, with a 240 on the other side, and a 480 or 420 up top.

I can hold off buying the phobya case till' probably monday, tuesday at the latest, I hope they announce pricing and a final release day for the 900D.

BUT tbh unless they say "Sub £250" followed by "released in a couple of weeks" I won't be buying anyway unfortunately.

Is it next week at the ces when more info is available?

Monday supposedly...from what I read/understood, press event tomorrow (6th) followed by being shown off at CES Monday (7th).

What size is it though? That looks quite tall (and heavy lol) Looks nice though, loads of room.

Taken from Legit Reviews:

"Corsair recently shared a picture of the upcoming Obsidian 900D Godzilla PC Case that will debut at CES 2013, over at Overclock.net. A representative for the company said that the case has dimensions of 655mm x 694mm x 251mm and will be compatible with ATX, E-ATX, XL-ATX and HP-ATX motherboards. No inside shots of the case were shown, but it appears there will be room for 15 hard drives or solid-state drives. It also has four external 5.25-inch drive bays that can be used for whatever you like.

Water cooling enthusiasts will be happy to know that you can install two 480mm and a 360mm radiator inside this beast without the need for any modifications. For those concerned with air cooling, the 900D case comes with three 120mm fans mounted in front (Corsair Airflow SP120's). The middle section of the front aluminum fascia is "floating", like a speaker grill over a high-end speaker for improved airflow. If you look closely at the image above you'll see that there is about an inch gap on each side, and the panel is nearly two inches away from the front fans, which gives them plenty of room to intake cool air. The front aluminum fascia comes off easily to change the front dust filter or to access the three 120mm fans in front. When it comes to the front panel I/O connectivity you can expect to see four USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 and the usual audio jacks.

Corsair has already said that "This is not a case for 99% of enthusiasts," but we know we have a few readers that are looking for something a case that is over the top and this is it. Corsair has not said much about pricing, but they did say that it is not going to be priced to compete with Little Devil or Case Labs or the TJ11, since the 900D is not 100% aluminum. We know for certain that the Corsair Obsidian 900D will be priced higher than the Obsidian 800D, which means this case will be more than $250. The MSRP of the Corsair 800D is $299, so expect the 900D to carry a$399 MSRP with a street price of around $349.99."

Yep if it's around that price you may as well spend the little extra on a better case, if it comes in at £350 the xspc h2 that's £20 more is a far superior case imo.

Still, going off those specs above, it does seem a good spec case if you disregard the price. I'd like the D900 with the possibility of fitting those rads advertised.

It is a good spec case but unless it's around the same price as a tj07 then corsair may find it a hard sale.

Though the corsair rep dis make a point that its aimed at those running quad cards and/or dual socket boards.

So price wouldn't be an issue to them running that equipment...

Nope but then again you'd think someone with that setup would be looking at caselabs/LD.

Its a tough one to price but IMO it needs to slightly undercut the TJ07.

Its not aimed at 99% of enthusiasts, but 85% of enthusiasts will be interested in buying.
