Time for a new case...for lots of rads!

Ah now that is nice!! Pair of 360's in the front, have to see what side panel options there is.

Out of the thousands I've spent on my setup this has been by far the hardest choice.

Been looking at that one myself as a replacement for my shinobi xl and Lian Li A70F. I suspect you could squeeze another rad into the roof as well with a bit of modding of the top panel.

Looking at a thread on XS where they have a Lian Li rep, the rep stated there is 55mm clearance between the roof and motherboard tray, so depending how it lines up (hopefully offset, should give another ~25-30mm before dimm banks) you should fit a 240 in the roof.

Simply stunning case, can't believe I missed it, I trawled through the majority of the Lian Li range too!

Just looking for some build logs with a 420 in the front, I could cope with 420+240+120 :)

Indeed, a very beautiful case. And surprisingly well priced for a black interior Lian Li. Only discovered it myself as im looking for a possible replacement. Gonna cost way too much to mod and powdercoat my A70F.

Theres also a door version, which surprisingly is even cheaper, (was the opposite for the A70F and door front A71F). It also has two 120mm fan openings on top, (seems to be just the one on the 75) You could get another fan opening cut to enable fitting a 360 in the roof.

Yep :)

Though I may have to be cheeky and ask OcUK if they can price match, I've found it £50 cheaper at two other stores so far :(

Reading up on it, seems it might not be much use to me from an air cooling point. My cpu cooler would be too tall.

Yeah, 170mm maximum, really wish someone would start giving us more room behind the motherboard tray, that A75X appears to have as much room as the £30 NZXT case I had :p

We'll see, maybe make a purchase tomorrow, probably between this and the Phobya case.

170mm max, thats good to hear. One review i read just now stated 160mm max. My current cooler is 158mm tall. Gonna have a read over some reviews from the more trusted sites.

Regarding space behind the mobo tray. Hats off to bitfenix and my current shinobi xl. Over 300mm of space behind the tray. I had no problems hiding cables in an sli gtx 470 setup, whilst using a pile of bitfenix braided extensions. The side panel went back on without a bulge insight. My A70f could just about fit the 24 pin cable behind the tray but bulged out a little.

Old x58 sli rig in the xl.

Thats impressive (the XL). Words can't explain my disappointment with the lack of space in the back of the 500R I had, that said the 800D isn't that much better.

Decisions Decisions.

I alway thought it was me doing someting wrong with the 800Ds and the space at the back. At least I know other people have had problems now.

Yeah, it just lacks depth and anything to pin cables too, would hope the 900D had an extra half inch or so behind the tray.

Think I'm going to pull the trigger on the phobya case tonight :o will need some minor work before I install but it shouldn't be too much bother.

Those were concepts for phobyas case design comp :)

Not looking forward to finding out how much shipping is on a 22kg case :p

I just sold my cosmos 2 that weighed 27kg including box and used city link through interparcel.com, £25 including £5 extra for increased compensation.

Holy **** did CM line it with lead??

£13.99 for shipping 3-5 days not too bad, in no rush for it and its going to stand assembled while I sort out radiators and locations and do some dummy runs before the rest of the hardware joins the party :D

I also need OcUK to get EK's CSQ range of fittings in stock - not going to be cheap, price has doubled over the PSC range.

The red and black setup does look nice, would love to have the finance and/or knowledge/equipment to make my own case from scratch.

Damn, thankfully the phobya has wheels, once I'm done filling it, it should be somewhere between 40-50KG, though I'll save a little weight putting a window in.
