Does anyone else find that time seems to pass quickly at this time of year?

I feel like just yesterday I was having christmas lunch.

Anyone else find the time passing quickly in January?

Wait until you're 20 years older! I feel like I was in nappies only yesterday. :)

That sounds all wrong now i've said it :(

Not so much. The hectic "festive" period seems to be over quickly (especially the time off work) then January drags a bit. But as is often pointed out, the older you get the quicker time seems to pass, so maybe you're just getting old?

Sometimes I think about fun events and times, and then realise they happened 5 years ago or more. Then think what the hell, I've still longer than I've every lived so far before I can even retire let alone die at the national average age.

That sucks.

Supposedly people perceive time as passing more slowly if you have new experiences. With nothing going on, you look back, haven't got memories of doing lots of new stuff, so it's seems like the time went by quickly.

It's all relative to how busy you are.

Im not sure about this, I think it is all relative to your age

one day when your 5 is 0.05%
one day when your 50 is 0.005%

So one day when your 50 would have 1/10th the significance than when your 5

:)

I am 41 time passes quickly usually. :)

But January is the longest month of the year for me, not sure if its the come down from xmas or just its a long month. But I hate January its too long, too cold and most of the time people are skint after xmas! BAN JANUARY! I say...:p

I don't know why people say it changes with age - but it seems to be correct!

As a kid, I recall utter tedium at school and in exams; waiting 30mins for my favourite morning cartoon seemed like a lifetime. A road-trip 30miles seemed to take an absolute age.

Yet here I (we) are now, and much like the acceleration of the expansion of space-time, life is passing by at an accelerated pace.

Exactly this, it also helps to be busy as when you have a deadline, time definitely seems to go a lot faster. When I was in school one year seemed to take ages but I had my first year in full time employment last year and it seemed like it took no time at all.

What I found out it is that:

When you young, you wait for stuff to do! ;)

When you old, you preparing the stuff for the young to do!! :p lol edit!!
