Time Spy Standard DX 12 Bench.

With this being dx12 technically shouldn't the AMD side fare better? Yet we're still seeing the 980 Ti can beat a fury X or am I missing something?

Most DX12 engines at the moment are optimized for gcn, as they are optimized for the consoles. In that way they push the most out of AMDs GPUs, but you can also build a different engine like you see in Tomb Raider or Total War or in this bench. It isn't explicitely a DX12 phenomenon.

Will post my results up later. Interesting to see my two 290x beat even the fastest 1080.

Shame xfire works in so few games :(

yep, thats the problem Greebo, incredible power there at the price, but so little good support for it these days.

Did a bench this morning but had to shoot out for a emergency call out, so will post results when I get back.

I would also have expected the 1070 to reach ahead of the 980ti in benchmarks utilising some of DX12's highlights, but that doesn't seem to be the case very much, so maybe it's actually a good representative of the early DX12 games that won't be going too far away from the DX11 engine models.

You might want to try it with both xfire on and off, on will use AMD's multi GPU technology while off should use DX12's multi-adapter.
