Time Spy Standard DX 12 Bench.

So i ran a second test with the gpu overclocked.

Drivers - 368.81

CPU - 6600k @ 4.5ghz
GPU - 980ti @ 1535mhz/2001 memory

Stable at that, but wondering if i can get much more out of my 980ti considering core is running at 1535 boost?

Decided to squeeze a little more on my GPU: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/13295583?

2316
7950 16.6.2 1150/1450 = 2174
i7-2600k 4.2ghz = 3680

My 7950 is still a great performer... right :p?

Loaded up my old 4.4GHz profile on my i7 as well but that doesn't seem to be stable any more... I think my CPU is starting to show its age...

5291

R9 Nano @1120/550 (Graphics Score 5 383 )
4820K @4800 (CPU Score 4 828 )

Driver 16.7.2

(updated it because I was running 2 background apps that consumed resources)

FYI got the achievement Futureproof :P

Edit 2 removed. humble pie... :(

I see it as a comparison between different cards, not willy waving. If that was the case, i think we could all go out and spend insane amounts on the latest and greatest gpu.

People wanted to see how old gen compares to latest gen cards and that's what this thread is doing.

Or am i wrong?

It's one reason why I posted, I know my 7950 is becoming obsolete but I wanted an idea of how behind it is compared to current gen cards. If anything, it just gave me more of a reason to wait for Vega.

It's funny how people suddenly start claiming synthetic benchmarks don't matter when they don't see the scores they wanted.

Just chill out, outside of the benchmark itself, then no, of course it doesnt matter. But it is indicative of relative performance of the various cards in a vendor neutral test (no amd or nvidia optimisations by the devs).
