Time to move on...not getting hopes up too much though!

Submitted an offer on Saturday at 94% of asking price of a property we found (our price was precise driven by a direct comparable with identical layout etc etc), was eventually rejected (after a couple of calls from the EA asking if we had movement etc).

Sticking by our offer and leaving the ball in their court. As tempting as it is to increase, it's all an obvious ploy for every little penny!
 
Well finally should be exchanging today, solicitors are on sorting everything out as I type this. Completion on Friday!

To be honest I had almost given up caring, to the point I passed it on to the Mrs to sort out!

Anyway thanks to the stamp duty change we will be getting a nice cash back of £4.7k due to us using most of the cash incentive given to us when buying the house being used on stamp duty!

Well done to the Mrs on that one!

Big congrats. Very nice Christmas present there. Also well done on teh Stamp Duty thing too.

We complete on 23rd Dec.......won't be moving in until 05 Jan 15 as need to get wooden floor down (that won't be delivered until 29 Dec 14). Still going to go round on Christmas Day with a bottle of bubbles and some nibbles for a bit. We are fortunate in that the new house is 250m away from where we are now :D
 
Good luck mate.

Quick question, any reason the bits at the bottom of the kitchen wall cupboards dont go all the way along the bottom of each cupboard?

Yeah if you see it would go almost in line with the hob. I guess something to do with the heart coming off it?

Well still wating to exchange however all we are wating on now is the buyers solicitors are just confirming the lender will release the funds on Friday.

Having just recieved the completion statment from our solicitors we are owed £2,025 :)

So esentially we have been paid £2k to move into a bigger house with all the extras we have chosen!

Result!!
