Timeless Albums

Fourthed...

Ok enough, but definitely agree with Dark Side of the Moon, i reckon it will never sound outdated. It was so ahead of its time when it was released, and it doesn't really seem to fit with any time period.

Well I don't know when you'd define yesteryear, but all of these are over 10 years old, and still cracking albums IMO :)

Slayer - Reign In Blood (1986)
Machine Head - Burn My Eyes (1994)
Metallica - Master Of Puppets (1986)
In Flames - Lunar Strain (1993)
Fear Factory - Demanufacture (1995)
Carcass - Heartwork (1993)

Bigger Better Faster More - 4 non blondes, i love that album
Black Sunday - Cypress Hill
Live After Death - Iron Maiden
Live at Wembley - Queen

Sasha and Digweed's Northern Exposure (1 and 2) both sound as fresh as ever and the mixing is just so sublime.

Yes! Fantastic albums, and exactly what I was going to post!

You have good taste mate! :)

NE2 has my favorite start to a dance CD ever, with Gus Gus and Furry Phreaks.
You need to listen to the Furry Phreaks tune with a huge sub so you hear the bigggggg bass bit in it.

Ohhhh on a dance note Fantazia CLub Classics Vol 2 Mixed by Brandon Block, Peer and Mike Cosford. Best dance CD ever.

I still think 'North' is the best mix I've ever heard. The amount of people I know that have thrown off their preconceptions and 'discovered' dance music through that CD is unbelievable.

South, while still being extremely good, doesn't quite match up as well, but I can still listen to Exp01 and Exp02 on a daily basis and not get tired of them.

Expedition 1 (Track 1 > 2) is my favourite start from the NE range but Exp01 comes a close second!

Metallica - the black album

Everything about this album was perfect.

Just a shame it was metallica's last "real essance of metallica" album.

Have to disagree! It's just one of those albums for me.

Hmmm it is in a way for me, as in it will stay with me forever (grew up with it really) but I wouldn't put it in the same league as some Led Zeppelin or stuff older than a few years albums which have actually stood the test of time.
