Titanfall 2 - have you seen its multiplatform?

Some new media. Was almost tempted by bf1 from the hype. Still want to try something different. Some new vids and multiplayer impressions.

Review embargo lifts on Monday so Respawn must be reasonably confident.

Still think this is bad timing and it's going to get swallowed by the other games out.

I have it pre-ordered and will have on release but I'm not sure I'll want to drag myself away from BF1 etc.

i don't think it's going up against BF1 players, only game its fighting with is call of duty

no reason to delay game, its out before COD. lets be honesty COD players will buy COD regardless how bad its becomes

just look at COD thread vs Titan fall 2, users sticking to that game regardless of faults and not trying anything new.

Thats kind of my point, people may buy Titanfall but when COD comes out they will abandon it for COD and probably never go back. If on the other hand they released it in say March people will probably be fed up with COD and then possibly stick at Titanfall longer.

Unfortunately as it stands Titanfall will be dead in a matter of weeks like the last time.
 
I personally find it baffling that people complain about every new COD but buy it every year regardless. Hence I'll be getting Titanfall 2 because I actually want it rather than feeling obliged to buy COD because my mates are, or it's cool to do so. I thought the first was very good but missing an actual single player campaign made it short lived, this time around this won't be an issue. So Titanfall yes, COD IW no, although I will be getting MWR when it's inevitably released next year.

Judging by how badly IW is being received I think this game could do quite well this year. I know that I'll be playing the MP in this over IW.
I also know somebody who is reviewing this game and I've been told the campaign is excellent as well.
 
IW is getting a pretty frosty reception, and the Battlefield series is the mid life crisis version of CoD, so I'm hoping TF2 will do really well :)

Hardly think the new version of BF is a mid life crisis of COD, probably one of my favority BF games in a while. Titanfall needs to have improved a lot from the beta to be anywhere near as good. Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow and find out.

I enjoyed Bad Company 2, but Battlefield 3 and 4 have been pretty forgettable.

Good that you are enjoying 1. It seems to be getting great feedback.

I should also have TF2 tomorrow. Got my dispatch email from Simply Games earlier today
 
Reviews sound amazing for this, worried for when its launching but i do hope people buy it and the online stays active longer than the first one did. Died off pretty quick for such a big game

Make no mistake, nothing will topple the CoD behemoth, regardless of whatever reception it recieves and having it sandwiched between that and BF1 is an AWFUL decision. They've literally sent it out to die.

Still, looking forward to playing it a hell of a lot. Can someone tell me exactly when the UK release is? Seems to be multiple dates online :/
 
I've just played a bit of the Single Player game and it seems pretty good so far, not tried multiplayer yet, I'll give that a go later if the servers are up.

Edit: Played more past the training level and AI is pretty bad, its fun'ish but really not much challenge, they are not far off the bots that were in the original multiplayer. Multiplayer is not available as servers are offline.

I think it's fantastic :) Played a good 2 hours last night (set campaign to hard difficulty)
Looks great, plays great. Didn't notice any issues with the AI at all.
I've been sniped and kicked to death a couple of times
 
Well, I've never bought a PS4 game on release so wondering where best to buy this so it's ready to play on the 28th? Do Argos or Amazon generally have games at your door on release date or is it worth heading down to Game on Friday?
