Titanfall Benchmarks

I think i will wait and see what happens to the performance after its got the Games Works stamp on it.

BTW, its a Tahiti LE, I run BF4 in Ultra. Minus MSAA with very good FPS

It's still a 7870 mate :)
You'd also still need to turn settings down to get playable framerates now, before Nvidia add their extras onto it so i honestly don't see your point :o

I don't have a 7870, i keep telling you that.

As i said, i'm not interested in a game that gives me 35 FPS where i should be getting 60 while giving me no benefits for that.

This might not happen, but i am very sceptical, so i will wait to see if AMD suddenly get a performance hit after the Games Works Patch.

The GPU performance always remains the same, its the Games performance that would change.

You've changed GPU?
You've always had the 7870LE. What's a 7870 lol.

Who's saying you'll get 35fps where you'd otherwise be getting 60? That graph shows 41fps, and that's before the enemy has got their grubby mitts on it.

7870LE is a gimped 7950 with 256 bit bus. Its not a 7870

7870le chip is based on tahiti

Your talking about the name of the card, i'm talking about what the GPU actually is. ^^^

This. the 7870 is a Pitacarin GPU Chip, mine is a Tahiti, 7950/70. the 7870XT (Tahiti LE) has been dubbed the 7930 because of that.

They are two different GPU's

Wait? The 7870LE isn't a 7870?
We're talking about the card mate, not the chip ;)

Dress it up how you like, its a 7870.

No its not. They should name it 7930 but they didint. It was a limited SKU with 1536 shaders instead of 1792 (7950).Its based on tahiti not pitcairn.7870le performs close to a 7950 and way higher than a normal 7870.

If you want to stay on name just stay on name but its wrong about the performance of the card

Wait, so they didn't name it the 7930
Does that mean it's a 7870? :p

Guessing you also own the 7870? lol :D

What does bumhug care anyway, he's getting himself a 780. He'll be able to use all that lovely HBAO+TXAA.

Tahiti has a different Memory controller, FP32 Compute performance is also way higher on Tahiti than on Pitacarin, thats why the Pitacarin 7870's get bogged down so much more with Lara's Hair and the compute generated Global illumination in Dirt Showdown ecte...

To all intents and purposes its a 2GB 1526 SP 79## series. it should have been called the 7930.

I am guessing you have a 7870LE as well?

No why? Its like saying that 780ti is not 780ti but a 780. There is clearly a difference on performance. It wasnt an official gpu from amd some vendors pushed it like sapphire, powercolor who called it 7870 myst edition and vtx3d iirc.

My current gpu is a quadro and when i have time i use my 7970 trifire mostly..
