** TITANX **

I was originally really keen on the this, but less now I've seen the price and temps. If they were £150 cheaper and had better temps then I would probably get one either definitely for 1440p or 4K gaming. But £900-1000 for one graphics card is a bit too much for me to justify. If I'm spending that much money, then it better be running as cool as the last gen titans or better, not worse!

I sure the Titan blacks were not far off this price point when released :/

Both my 980s have sold and coz I'm on x99 pc is out of action until the Titan arrives hope it's not too long, ITS like loosing a limb lol

Yeah deffo man would love to hear your thoughts. The only real thing that is similar to Dead Island is the weapons and crafting but the whole feel is definitely Mirror's Edge.

Is it Dying Light you're talking about? If so I loved that game for a while, then it just became far too stale, by the end I was just rushing myself to finish the game.
Half the problem is because it was pretty easy and the number of weapons and health kits lying about was ridiculous.

The fetch quests got a bit tiresome but the end was epic

They patched in hard mode now

Out of those two options personally I'd go for the Titan X just to save any hassle with SLI plus the extra memory even though you probably won't use all of it. However if AMD is a consideration I'd wait to see what the 390x has to offer.

Yes Breeze I was am thinking that, I am not able to do anything till late May early June so hopefully puts it close to 390 release and then make a better decision :)

Hi all. Not posted for a while but wanted to ask a question that may wind people (nvidia users) up the wrong way, but that is NOT my intention. I would just like to understand...

I am invested in the Nvidia infrastructure. I haven't owned an ATI GPU since before the Geforce 295x. I own 2x980's, GSYNC monitor and an Nvidia Shield Tablet.

Knowing all this about me can someone please explain why going for a Titan X would be a better idea over the likely less expensive and more powerful 390X? From all leaked data the 390X is the better card and ATI usually release their cards at more competitive prices. All this and the added benefit of the HBM stacked (now 8GB if rumor is to be believed) memory, surely ATI has a winner?

Unless the 980Ti has higher clocks and at least 12GB of memory to match the stacked 8GB of memory bandwidth ATI now uses I do not see the point in the Titan X unless you are doing 3D rendering or folding? I can't even use the X for premiere pro CC as it doesn't have a 10 bit output!

I just don't see the point in buying the X. Why not wait for the 980Ti or 390X?
