tl;dr

tl;dr is very annoying. It's a shame more people dont spend time putting effort into decent posts rather than posting crap 1 liners.

Now that is good. No wait, you could go even better and actually post a picture of a teal deer instead.

Too long; didn't read. Amusingly whoever decided on the acronym appears to want some correct punctuation despite their apparant inability to type an additional 16 letters.

There shouldn't be a semi-colon in it.

We have no use for it in modern english language. It should be colon or a comma.

The semi-colon is there just for aesthetic reasons.

Plenty of opportunities for use; a semi-colon conjoins related sentences.

^ The above is an example where a full stop may remove meaning from the first sentence. It's not used often but that's more to do with people not knowing its context.

I prefer "lookit all dem words"

I find the "kill it" type of response to be blatant spamming that should be banned if tl;dr posts are gonna be outlawed. "Kill it" posts serve no purpose as they generally don't add anything to any thread it's posted in.

Plus it's incredibly unfunny. It might have been funny to start with, but like a small kid that doesn't know when to shut up, it's gone way beyond being even slightly humourous.
Seriously though, this would be a much better rule. I swear you can't have a thread on here without either "OMG FIRE KILL ETC" or "HURHUHUR OVARY PUNCH".

this thread proves that people have to much free time on their hands... oh wait, I'm here as well :( :(

it's just the internet, rules are cool as can make place pleasant for other users.. but sometimes things just get a little 'over the top', rules for rules sakes. imho that is.

it's almost like 'must justify my existence / im bored, hey, lets make a rule just for the hell of it and flex some interweb muscle'

don't mean offence by above comments, but it's just the way I see things...free speech and all that ;)
