As said - cheese has to be involved usually
Because its going to be melted cheese it makes worcester sauce mandatory.

No cheese?
Maybe Salsa and chorizo? Black olives? Greek Salad?

Sweet chili chicken with spring onions?

Duck and HoiSin with some cucumber and onion?

even better than a toastie (imo) - get some of them part baked french sticks, open em up, cheese + other filling of choice n squash em down under a george foreman style grilling machine = ghetto panini

A warning, sticky stuff quite often results in a toastie destroying distaster.

Quite often a bit seeps through a gap (Eg chocolate spread through a bubble in the bread). This burns onto the sandwich machine and sticks the bread to that side, so when you open it. BAM, toastie is ripped apart.

Not pretty.

just leave it in a bit longer, once it's burnt it losses it's stickiness and peels off. or open slowly and use a knife to separate it.
