** TODAY ONLY: DELL 27" G-SYNC ONLY £449 !! **

I can notice the colour shift if I move my head up and down excessively whilst on the desktop but not in game at all. 8 bit TN@1440 with g-sync is excellent, I don't miss 60hz IPS at all for gaming, even less VA.

Yep, this. If you deliberately set these to a solid colour and really look for it, yeah you can see it, but for gaming it not noticeable, IPS is relegated to 2nd screen use, which is pretty rarely.

Does this do 3d vision?

Seems a much better idea than the Swift, probably less likely to break.

I was a great supporter of 3D Vision but there hasn't been a game within the past year worthy of having the tech. Devs don't just give a **** anymore as Oculus takes priority. Furthermore, people relied on Helix to fix those games with poor 3D vision (take pCars or Assetto Corsa for example) and whilst it does a reasonable job it isn't brilliant.

Personally I've grown out of love for 3D Vision so couldn't care less if manufacturers don't add it. Additionally the lightboost trick with older monitors produced awful colours (a blue tint) and games didn't look good. But monitors inc this Dell have ULMB for those who want the blur reduction feature enabled. I have no idea how ULMB affects colour accuracy though.

I use only a single screen, and I use it more for desktop than gaming anyhow. So probably not the target audience anyway.

I'd certainly be a lot more tempted if it weren't for the VHS/Betamax situation we currently have; if there were just VESA Async then it would be a harder choice between TN+Async, or plain ol' IPS.

But while we have both Gsync and FreeSync, I'm staying out anyhow.
