Today's mass shooting in the US

I think we should have one for London too.

As of this morning I think it is running at three murders in three days and many, many, more injuries.

New York is actually one of the safest cities (still far worse than London) in the US with massive improvements over the last 10 years.

Here are the rest of US cities. If London was in the US, it'd basically be the safest large city.

It is usually a certain crowd which wishes to make London look bad. "Gun control don't work". "Muslim mayor ruining city". "Londonistan".

It was pretty spicy near me last year. At least half a dozen stabbings and 2 firearm discharges (no one shot/posturing)

Thank Dog people aren't allowed to carry pistols over here. It'd be a bloodbath

Well probably the only thing stopping mass slaughter is lack of widespread availability of guns.

Don't be silly. Gun control doesn't work. What we need is more guns and good people with guns will kill all the criminals and the murder rate will go down.

4 deaths in 4 days and many more wounded, And that's just London!

How many is that so far this year?

Back in Pierrepoints day we only got a couple of hundred each year, across the entire country (And that was at a time when people were far more likely to die from their injuries than they are today, IE a "Like for like" comparison that factored this in would have an effective homicide rate today several times greater than what the current figures suggest)

To you Londoners, how has this level of crime changed say since the 90's, I assume it's a lot worse for murders/gangs now?

By not having a thread for each attack/event you in fact normalise it as they blend into one event.

Mass shootings in America aren't really the biggest killers, it's the accumulation of single smaller incidents like London is experiencing.

Not to mention the Democrats who want to ban guns also want a porous border with Mexico so all it will do is boost the Mexican gun industry and arms smuggling cartels.

There's less murders now than any year of the 90's and 2003 was the peak for gun crime/murders
