Tokyo Olympics 2020

Wow, the favourite Bromell only 4th in the second heat

Edit: Absolutely love DAS, just gave an interview saying she tore her hamstring at Gateshead a few months ago and had expected to pull out of the Olympics. She must be gutted yet had a smile on her face for most of the interview until a question about her ability to compete in the 200m set her off :(

Yep. Really lovely girl. Smiling bravely then crying, felt so sorry for her. But that's it unfortunately, no 100 or 200m final, she's gone for this Olympics.

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday she's such a nice character with an incredible smile that makes her cheeks glow, very pleasing on the eye as well.

I'm Looking forward to the track cycling hopefully, we can do as well as London and Rio.

yes don't remember at what distance Bolt usually came running past, but, he was expected.
(getting his beer adverts on nbc coverage https://www.ispot.tv/ad/Oi2Z/michelob-ultra-beer-run-featuring-usain-bolt )
well - did Smith have sponsor commitments, to attend Tokyo - must have known it wasn't on, beforehand, and could have donated her place.

This freestyle bmx competition this evening looks impressive, must be one of the most risky of summer sports., for damaging yourself. - back/forward flips at height.

Turns out we have some bloke in the men's competition too. 2nd place but loads of riders still to go.

edit: Declan Brooks pushed down to bronze. Not bad tho. :p

Lot of surprising results in sports I had no idea GB had good athletes in.

And by the funding some of these sports get, UK Sport wasn't so sure about them either. Will be another round of hard decisions on what to fund in search of medal winning sporting role models next time.

Had a laugh at the end of the mixed medley with the GB men looking enormous next to the GB women. It's interesting having mixed relays because its much harder to be sure who's winning til the end.

Looked up Peaty, the most enormous one, he's the world record holder for breaststroke when it comes to racing 1-2 pool lengths
