Tokyo Olympics 2020

Australia would like a mention if results for size matter. Bit over 1/3 the population of the UK and consistently up there.
Australia have long been a sporting nation, particularly at water sports. It just goes to show what you can achieve when you invest in your youth and provide good facilities that set them up for success. Where the UK maybe lack a little in investment/facilities (and of course that is much better now since London 2012), it benefits from a bigger, but more importantly, a very diverse population. That gives varying physiques that are typical of ethnicities descended from other regions of the world. I think it's great because GB have great abilities right across the Olympics.

What an omnium so far from Matt Walls. Just 20 odd laps to go in the points race looking favourite for gold.

Easy win in the end, so much stronger than everyone else today. Great ride from the new Zealander to pick up the silver on the last lap!

Carlin is looking great so far in the sprint too! Shame about Kenny but he's not the rider he was and its a young man's game. Shame about Marchant this morning, just wrong place wrong time.

Let hope Trotter, I mean Kenny, can win her 3rd on Sunday. Trying to look at the Olympics website for a start list to see if there any names I recognise but it's not ready yet.
