Nice to see an American bigging up their country for once.
Australia have long been a sporting nation, particularly at water sports. It just goes to show what you can achieve when you invest in your youth and provide good facilities that set them up for success. Where the UK maybe lack a little in investment/facilities (and of course that is much better now since London 2012), it benefits from a bigger, but more importantly, a very diverse population. That gives varying physiques that are typical of ethnicities descended from other regions of the world. I think it's great because GB have great abilities right across the Olympics.Australia would like a mention if results for size matter. Bit over 1/3 the population of the UK and consistently up there.
Climbing on in 20mins, hoping Adam Ondra wins.
Ondra absolutely chuffed with beating his PB every round, despite losing every one. Legend!
Only 3 problems in the boulder final? Bit weird...number of attempts is going to be important.
What an omnium so far from Matt Walls. Just 20 odd laps to go in the points race looking favourite for gold.
The climbing event is pretty good!Brilliant gold for Wallls!
