Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Revealed

Anybody recommend graphics settings please for nvidia cards 980Ti, been playing around with it but doesnt look that good.

Not sure if this will help you for visuals but this guy's recommendations are great for improvement in fps and seeing enemies (he's also using a 980 ti):

You need to use AA for this game to look decent, somewhere between 4-8x MSAA depending on what your GPU can handle/ what you're comfortable with fps wise.

Plus it's worth noting that relief mapping, which is like tessellation is tied into the high shaders setting. Outside of AA this has the single largest impact performance of any setting in RS:S. It looks subjectively much better, although this depends largely on how much value you put into something like this considering you don't always get to see it's effect all the time. For me I use low shaders since 80% of the time I don't see much difference, this gives me a lot of extra fps to add better AA and makes the game look much better imo.

I'm playing at low settings except for shadows and textures. Doesn't affect my fps and let's me spot enemies easier.

Doesn't do anything for my ability to kill them though :D.

Must admit running 1440p I can't tell the difference between AA on or off.

Still running the low for pros then I see :p

cannot wait for the patch.

Had a friend round tonight who was a map designer and big league player of R6 years ago, I like it so wanted him to cast his semi-pro opinion on the game.

His thoughts, it looks great, seems to play great, likes the multiple entry stuff and gun mechanics.

Then I got killed, he even said 'How did that happen' was like my mistake, mispeeped the corner.

next match 'that cant be true, you were covered.' Yup, I was, my screen I was in cover, enemies saw me half round the corner.

Showed him 10-15 games overall, think 8-11 of them he was saying 'no way, that cannot be a real kill'.

This is genuinely a good game and I really like it, but theres serious netcode issues.

Until the kill cam is fixed I can't be sure if I did screw up or what.

I've had the same issue where my screen shows me to be totally in cover yet somehow I get shot.

Even going back and checking the gameplay I'm still none the wiser as to how I died lol.

I'm getting 60 fps with a 7970 at 1440p.

I don't know about xfire but I think one of the guys here was having issues getting it to work.

Anyone played the update? Any better?

You seem to play against people of a similar ping, I have never seen a ping over 70ms tonight. Connectivity and squad matchmaking is soo much better, don't have to keep alt+f4 every 30 mins. There is a few more bugs too, map screen doesn't display so you have no idea which map you're playing. For the most part it hasn't made a huge difference too me despite the lengthy patch notes.

The roof section of airplane seems to have a wall in the middle that you can shoot through, I'm pretty sure that wasn't there before. Other than that I haven't come across any other map changes. They've definitely done something to performance, my WC loop runs 1-2c hotter after the patch. Probably thinking thats because they fixed refresh rates so my GPU is hitting boost to maintain 120fps.

Need more time too see if the killcam is better now.
