Tomb Raider performance

Now that the game is sorted on my setup I will stop tinkering around with it a play it.

This is on the ultimate preset @ 1920x1080 with my gpu's overclocked.

At the same settings as layte, I get min 40.8, max 75.9 and average 58.5 with a 670 sli setup.

I would take a Titan over my setup given the choice as Hitman Absolution which I love doesn't scale very well.

Hold on a moment...

With shadow quality set to normal (which was the highest setting when I did the 314.14 run iirc) my scores are:
Min - 44.7
Max - 68.1
Avg - 55.9

That's some pretty decent optimisation.

Yeah. Tiny bit slower than 7950 crossfire which is pretty impressive for a single GPU.

My 7950s are overclocked as well.

Actually, tell a lie my performance has skyrocketed on the latest patch:

This is based on the old max settings i.e. ultimate preset with TressFX and SSAA 4x...

That's an increase of 25%.

That's decent
I'll have to re-download and test to see if my performance has shot up.

Wazza you have vsync on.

Just ran the bench and got 15/102/72 on the first run and 35/82/66 running for a second time, nice consistency there :D

Edit: Settings are 1080p and Ultimate (exact same settings as wazza shows above)

in ccc or the game settings? pretty sure i disabled vsync

I can confirm it runs fine on high end rigs. Immense game, and a welcome move forward for a series I've been a fan of ever since the first TR on my pentium 120mhz apricot rig.

Pushes the boundaries a bit with what pain the human body could endure, but im really enjoying it and on ultra settings, its the best looking game ive ever seen on a pc.

Does TressFx still kill fps with latest patch and new Nvidia drivers?

In short would my rig handle it at ultra (Tress Fx on) at 1200p?

With the ultra preset (shadows at normal), I'd probably say yes. With shadows on ultra also though, it kills fps, especially with 4xSSAA.

My shadows only go up to normal and ive got crossfire 7970s. Any one shed any light on this please?

Do you have the latest patch? ultra shadow quality can only be adjusted in the advanced options ingame tho you can't enable it through the normal settings.
