Tomb Raider performance

Ah. I got a crazy skull and crossbones virus the other night (tues?) and I had to do a total re install of windows so I have not had a chance to play it in the last couple of days. Gonna test it out tonight although I hope performance is a bit better as @1400p and xfire 7970s there was some canny dips in framerates. Specifically over the shoulder close ups in cutscenes where the hair was flowing.

The early Nvidia drivers didn't do it justice on the 6 series or below and the week older drivers gave some great performance.

I am hoping to see TressFX and Face Works in loads of games and we might be able to sway the console owners across to PC. I doubt it but miracles can happen.
 
Just ran the benchmark on Ultimate settings, 1080p, on my HiS IceQ Boost 7950 and got an average of 43 fps. Latest beta drivers. Does that sound about right?

About right I think, all the benchmarks online and my own 7950 overclocked to 1100 core / 1500 memory get around that score, TressFX really hammers the framerate.

Same here my friend.

I was getting 160FPS + in game with SLi on Ultra, So much so that I have enabled the frame rate limiter for the first time to cap it at 120.

Runs sweet ;)
 
Are people using Keyboard and Mouse with this game or an Xbox 360 pad? What's the better option to use?
 
I can aim fine thank you, don't make me destroy you in bf3 Rusty. :D

Buuuut, sleeping dogs was a game that worked better on an xbox 360 pad, i wonder if Tomb Raider is another of these games.
