Tomb Raider - Rise of the Raider PC

This game is absolutely brilliant. I think its going to be regarded as a classic SP PC game for years to come. Its quite literally Uncharted on the PC but with stunning 4K gfx & lots of gameplay :D

Just spent a good 4 hours on the Soviet Installation & only got 15% of it done so far  got sidetracked by the Baba Yaga DLC which is another 3 hours itself not even half way through that yet.

If your a fan of the main game you simply have to buy the season pass (which includes the Baba Yaga DLC). Its a superb lengthy sub mission & reminds in me in so many ways of the Batman Arkham Asylum scarecrow nightmare missions ;)

One of the best SP games released in many years not just because of the gfx, atmosphere, gameplay but also because there is so much content & so much to do if your a fan of this type of game. Most of the challenge tombs are epic/classic Tomb Raider moments :D

Thanks very much for posting the custom SLI profile. Giving me full usage on both my Ti's now where as with the nvidia one i was only getting 70% usage on both GPU's.

Everything maxed out 1440p (SMAA) its running very well at about 100+fps occasional drops to 90ish but with a controller really not noticeable at all. Ill likely cap it to 85hz tomorrow as with a pad 85-144hz is just not noticeable.

So far game looks and plays bloody fantastic. Can see me playing this for a while.

This is how games should be made. I really liked 2013 but this one is already better after just 3 hours. Runs great and looks absolutely brilliant, practically the best graphics on PC now.

And all that without hype and devs bull****ting people with visuals they can't deliver like The Witcher 3, The Division, Watch_Dogs and many others. What you see is what you get.

The game just feels like a polished product in every possible regard the moment you launch it, a refreshing change after Arkham Knight and Just Cause 3.

Ending up capping to 30 with rtss. Fps bouncing around from 50-60 in soviet base was annoying. Hopefully a patch can improve performance a little there. If not, 60 will have to wait till the new cards come out.

anyone else getting ludicrious temps on this??

pushing msi 390 to max 93C!, never gets that hot with anything I have played before.

About the same temps as normal for me before I locked it to 30. 290 vapor-x hitting about 76-78 which is about it's normal temp for any demanding game.

Good game. Enjoying it so far. Especially the traversal.

Getting up to 35FPS @2160p, about 45FPS@ 1440 and 60ish @ 1080p with frequent, severe dips in frame rate (down to zero sometimes @2160p). Seems to feel the same with or without v-sync + triple buffered on.
Playing with "very high" preset and FXAA on.
Just played for about an hour and according to MSI afterburner, VRAM (6GB), system RAM (8GB) and pagefile (15GB) were all near enough maxed out. Could this be causing the large dips in FPS? Also CPU usage hit 100% a few times during the session but was fine most of the time.

Temps for the graphics card were about 73 which is typical for this card.

Just got this, installed and running. Currently running at max settings, 1440p, fxaa and my 980ti is just about coping. Fps is sadly just below 60fps half the time, but the stuttering with vsync enabled isn't all that bad. Either way, the graphics look amazing so at least it isn't for nothing!

Still gawking at the graphics (and Lara :o), but if the gameplay is anything like the 2013 game, then I think I'm in for a good few days of gaming. The previous game was a solid 9/10 game imho, was so much fun!

What a beautiful looking game!

I have a 970gtx and i5 4690 running at 1080p

SMAA
AF 8x
Motion blur off
DoF off
Detail/textures very high
Shadows high
Hair works on
V-sync triple buffered

It's mostly sticking on 60fps. Not long arrived at soviet base which is seeing some fps drops so I might need some further tweaks.

Bow and Arrow head shots are pretty damn satisfying.

Fixed :p

Game is simply stunning a new PC benchmark I feel! people complain about performance and feel this is a bad port are wrong! You also get the same people complain that we keep getting console ports and Devs are not pushing PC hardware! Well they have with this game.

Been playing it for a few hours, and its seems to be following in the footsteps of the previous game, which is great. Hate it when developers get carried away and start changing game play mechanics just for the sake of it.

Still amazed by the graphics. They clearly went to town with this one. Looks sublime:

Not the best screenshots, but some of the micro detail and animations look amazing.
