Tomb Raider Thread

New Tomb Raider is Xbox One only, isn't coming to PC in the foreseeable future :/ Hope it's timed but the article seems to indicate otherwise.

I played the Xbone TR recently and I'm not that impressed tbh.

Some of the clothing looked slightly better and the rest of it looked good, but I still thought the PC version had the edge and I swear they've done something weird to Lara's face.
 
Yup PC version on Ultra is sublime. If the new one doesn't come to PC I'm burning their office down :mad:

I bought this in the sale, have made it to the first camp fire and chose my skill point but can't get out of the skill menu. I have restarted the game but it does the same thing again. How do I fix this?
 
Started playing this not long back, cracking game, and looks great on my new UW :D, thought it would be all QTEs, but its not too bad, im at the Shanty town, after doing that rapid river, and the parachute bit, its a bit like Rise, which i done before this one :p
 
Yeah the new Tomb Raider games are great, I love the Uncharted series although haven't played the newest one because I only have a PS3, TR feels like Uncharted but slightly different story and very similar gameplay.
 
Just pre-ordered Shadow for £33 from Green Man Gaming. They're cheaper to pre-order than CDkeys this time which is a first for me. I think the offer is only on for a couple of days...
 
Looks awesome, loved the first two. £33 is a good price, hopefully that deal will still be on at the weekend.

Not sure whats happened with the Jonah model, it might be my imagination but I feel that in the previous titles he was more chubby than muscley, in this he looks more muscley. Which is a shame as I sort of liked his character being that way, but a very minor thing.

Should have 2013 finished before this comes out, im at the Research Base, 88% done. :D

Still no specs for this one yet, but i suppose they'll probs be around Rise.

Right so it's ok to sexualise the fat guy in to being more muscley yet Lara got a clear cup size reduction from TR 2013 to ROTR. That has to be some form of something over politically correct and offensive to some group or stereotype! Leave Lara's jubbly's alone! :p
 
Bit of a bump. I recently installed this game and it runs great with most settings set to max, a couple dialed back a bit (think I am on 2xSMAA). The first few hours ran very well (bar it been a touch jerky in some of the cut scenes), however after a certain point it does this thing where the FPS completely drop (slideshow speed) and it becomes very unresponsive (you can move but pressing start/escape opens the menu only for it to instantly close). The problem seemed to happen at roughly the same place when restarting, then it was more random. I undervolted my Vega 56 and it ran fine for a little while, then it came back. Any ideas?

3700X/32GB/V56 with the latest WHQL drivers.
