Tomorrow....

It's not thursday yet :p

EDIT: beaten!

Sounds good though Drex :D love your car!

He wants to set the car on fire, this sounds like something bad has happened. How is that "sounding good"? :p

Chin up Drexel, it cant be all that bad?

Sounds bad but i'm going to ask:o:(

I gave them a call about an hour and half ago because I hadn't heared anything, they said 'not good I'm afraid'...

Basically, VTEC isn't engaging. It's actually losing power at the point when VTEC should be coming in. He said the solenoid is working, but VTEC just isn't mechanically kicking in. He said he is going 'do a few more checks' and get back to me.

What an absolute waste of ****ing time and money.

I only asked as I'd noticed your sig on the ITR forums had changed to "B20'd pain in the ass".

I hope they sort it:(

Has it got any oil in it? Does it work with the old ECU? Did they warm it up first? Sounds a bit of an odd problem.

VTEC hasn't ever failed before though, has it? :(:(

Its the way of things when farting about with cars. They very rarely go as smoothly as we hope.

It'll be worth it so stick with. Good luck anyways.

Well if it's still on the low cam then I would expect power to be dropping off! Sounds like a symptom not a cause of the problem.

Wierd.

It must have been working before you took it in?

But it was working correctly before they had it?

Coolant temperature sensor issue? Oil pressure doesn't make sense to me, as it was working with the old ECU.

Best o luck, dont give up on it!

No this is the urban myth that's circulated round the globe :p

The line is no engine has failed due to a problem with the vtec system alone, or something like that.

Not that VTEC has never failed, or that a honda engine has never failed :)
