Too old for gaming?

No you can't ever be to old, some people enjoy sitting in a pub for hours on end. We enjoy sitting at home playing games. In my eyes who's more stupid the one paying 4 quid a pint? Or the one who has endless hour's of fun...

Haha I got exactly the same last week, followed by......does the wife know you have ordered these parts? What do you think, thats why I get them delivered to my mothers! :D

YEA KEEP QUIET ABOUT THE COST OF THE RIG ....i'm pretty old now but i deffo wont tell anyone how much the rig costs, because her indoors thinks it only costs £400

The only difference between men and boys....is the price of their toys.

Such a typical thing to say from a middle aged woman who grew up in a generation where Computer Games didnt even exist....I could imagine my mum saying something similar. (im 27)

Why should we just stop doing things we enjoy and start things like "gardening" or "painting the fence" as we have now grown up and not allowed to have fun.

This. I'll still be gaming when i'm propped up in a wingback with a pair of slacks on. You can never be too old for games.

you wont be playing Borderlands when you're that old, because at that age you will be too old for gaming, you'll get your arse kicked online, your reactions will be far too slow/ your eyesight too poor...you'll first start to notice this when you get to about 45 !!!!!!

they sit in arm chairs, stinking of stale Pee and watching Countdown, because that's how we'll all end up.

When I was with my ex I bought a 7950, she was like how much did that cost? 'Only £100 and it came with these games too.'

'That's not bad'

:D

yea and it'll all need updating again soon, because the 7970 only has another 2 years left in it.. i'm not sure, but rigs only really last about 4 years dont they.

but saying this i cant think of any new game that'll tax the 7970 next year, the only thing i'm not sure about is 4K TV, but this'll need loads of research.

DOOM 4 ? that's a **** up, they dont know what to do with it, it'll be another Rage pile of junk.... give it to the Dishonored guys ;)

Please fully star out all swearing in future. Thank you.

I will always be a gamer, whilst I have on and off periods of it. I will always have games around me.

Recently, the last few months have been an off period, but that's because of summer socialising killing my game time.

I like to think of my self as a fully grown child... Not an adult.

Taking it to the grave.

and

Gaming >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Television [except certain tv series]

the trouble with BBC tv is... it's so bloody boring that it sends you to sleep, is anyone interested in Fiona Bruce or Question of Sport, Eastenders or Master Cheff..... give me a good horror movie any time of the day

I'm getting tired of all the shooters that all cater to teenagers now, and I'm 23, but I'll always play strategy type games.

31 in a month, my mum popped by my flat today and saw my PC setup, gaming mice/keyboard/wheel etc.. and commented that I was 'too old' for this sort of stuff and she thought i'd have grown out of it by 25 :D
I play a lot of FPS and racing games, got a girlfriend, own my flat, good job and some modicum of a social life... why the hate man? :D

Is there really an age where its best to just put the controller down?

I'm 48 and my mother still nags me when I visit about going to bed too late, and when will I stop "playing" with the computer?

As always I politely nod my head and ignore every word. We both know the score and accept the outcome. ;)

i play lol with people ages ranging from 18 - 40 mainly people aged 25-30 but then i've played with them since i was 24.

and I play css with people well into their 40's so NO no such thing.
