Took a Bus the other day for first time in about 20 years

Margaret Thatcher once said something along the lines of "a man who is still getting the bus in his thirties has failed in life".

What do you all reckon?

Another thing...No adults face up to the kids in fear of being stabbed. I think there should be adult buses and kids buses. Or at least like some sweetshops kids can only get on with an adult.

Having said that...The parents are no better than the kids so scrap that idea!

They should have OAP buses and let the old folk go about their daily business in peace...They have paid their taxes all their lives they deserve a good quality stress free transport system

By the looks of the 30 + men I saw getting on...Their Reebok trainers white when new but now black and it being midday when people are at work...She had a point.:p

Indeed

Fox again is being a keyboard warrior. 99% of buses and the people that use apart from the elderly are scum:eek:

I have been using public transport (buses, trains, undergrounds etc) for almost 17 years since I came to this country.!!:(:p

I have full driving license but unfortunately atm can't afford car insurance hence no car:(

But I have gotten used to the public transport so much that it just feels part of my life :D

But travelling in car does have its benefits such as not seeing dull angry looking boring people in the morning and ride is so much smooth that it feels luxurious to have car bar the traffic jam. :D

All buses are the same.

Fact.

:o

"And this week on have I got news for you we're going to play the missing word round from articles taken from Buses Magazine"

Buses are ________?

The Wheels on the Bus go round and ________?

Fox defends the _________?

Number 9 in Stafford is sometimes a bit late, but other seems to be fine as a daily commuter. The only difference between buses now and 20 years ago is that they were coaches back then, going up a few steps by the driver's seat and now they're the low level wheelchair-safe ones.

The noise...The slowness of it....Stopping at every stop...The Kids swearing...The smell...The seats...The lack of control in my own destiny.

Worrying about some smelly person sitting next to me as I slowly watched the bus getting fuller and fuller.

I didnt have my headphones with me and couldnt get 3G on my S2 it was a living hell:eek:

I use public transport a lot and I really don't know what you're going on about. It's no different than venturing outside into your city centre, sometimes there's smelly, noisy people and you've got to ignore them. Half the time there isn't any.

Why go to the city centre at all?

At least there is space and you can go where you want ...On a bus you're trapped...No escape until your stop arrives

Buses are ok most of the time.

Probably the worst time I was on the bus was when someone was sick on the bus, in the words of Cleveland, That's Nasty
