i was in a similar situation to you but i choose to get the tooth fixed, few years later and i was crippled over in pain once again. turned out to be the same tooth
got it took out an never had a problem since
the only pain was from the woman dentist who was obviouslys not strong enough to get my tooth out in one pull.
she was basically kneeling on my chest trying to pull it out :O thankgod for local anesthetic
lmao i had the gas when i was a kid," pretend your a fighter pilot and count to ten son". was asleep before i even realised what hed said was out of it for the rest of the day after i woke up though
if you pay upto 140 quid for a years dental insurance, you can fiddle with the tooth as long as its still there.get a good dentist and get him/her two tickets to the movies or something, dentists love sweetners.
Dentists can fix useless teeth, but you must brush/rinse salt water to keep them.
Insurance comes with checkups/cleans for free.(these can hurt)
and 1000s of pounds worth of "free" treatment(which they reimburse you 3 weeks later)
Chances are if your back teeth are on there way out,the rest may or not have fractures, decay whatever.
The tooth might be missed when chewing-something to consider
