Top 3 console games ever

I base this on games I spent the longest hooked on!

Gran Turismo (any in the series had me hooked for ages)

Hogs at War (I think thats what it was called),
This game was awesome but very underated!

Call of Duty 4
This is a game no serious gamer should be without.

Super Mario Kart (SNES)
Metal Gear Solid (PS)
Resident Evil Series

ps. Alex the Kid in Miracle World was AWESOME!

GTA 1 (got it over a year after release - was a kid at the time)
Destruction Derby
Kirbys Dreamland on the game boy

There are games that are available today and i have since played that are simply amazing.

However these games i spent my life on when i was a kid!

First console ever being the gameboy and my second the ps1.

Remember getting Rayman and Destruction Derby on xmas day and being the happiest kid in the world!

Simply an amazing day!!!!

I played OoT last month, and it's still the best game I've played.

Not sure what I'd make of it if I was to play it for the first time now though, I bet it would still be very good.

If I played it for the first time now, I'd moan about the low FPS, the horrible textures, the stiff animations, and a lot more other things off the top of my head. The world of OoT is desperately empty, dull, lifeless and barren compared to pretty much any other modern game of its ilk.

OoT is definitely a case of nostalgia and great first-impressions for its time. Wind Waker by comparison may have got a lot of flak when it first came out, but it ages far more gracefully and in my opinion will endure time much better.

Besides, Majora's Mask is by far the better of the N64 games, and I wish the Zelda series tried dipping in that brooding storyline aspect a little more often.

anyone who said MarioKart anything but snes:/ im dissapointed in you all.

Agree with that, Mario Kart on the SNES was gameplay at its very best. I don't think any racing game has touched it to this day if I'm honest.

wow Ghost Valley 1 was one of the best tracks of all time!

used to Time Trial on that for like... ever...i had a 1.07 or something as i remember off the top of my head... using driving skills... not TURBOSBOOSTERSNAKINGAHAHAH

me and my friend were uber competative loved doing GP's and Battlemode... a battlemode that has NOT been surpassed..ever...since...

Goldeneye - hours of multiplayer fun, did pretty much everything on it. All the tiem attacks, unlocked all the cheats. I used to play as Oddjob as he was so small, he was below the croshairs. Good for sneaking up to! :D

FFVII - Goes without saying. Brilliant.

WWF No Mercy - N64. Brilliant, again hours of multiplayer fun, you can never got tired of smashing someone over the head with a chair and making them bleed. The controls were brilliant, in fact everything was brilliant about it.

Yeah he was complete cheats, we didn't allow him in our MP games :p

There are too many to chose from...

1) Final Fantasy 7. Enjoying playing this at the moment, although finding it a little too easy... Might've gone through too slowly!

2) Gran Turismo/3/4. Despite the fact that as kids I never got the IA licence on the original... but we loooooved racing splitscreen - MX5 vs. FTO was the main event! Still have the occasional blat on GT4 with my Elise on the Nurburgring.

That's it, since the third spot is going to have to be shared by:

Metal Gear Solid - amazing single player experience.
Perfect Dark - so much fun playing splitscreen with masses of variety.
Shadow of the Colossus - just a perfect game despite only going through it once. Dripping with atmosphere.
Wipeout 2097 - Shouldn't need to justify this...
Timesplitters 2 - The first one was great in it's own way but this one took it to another level  Only gripe was the minigun wasn't as meaty as the first... Humour, fast paced action and ducks with tommy guns.
