Top 4 this year?

I was unaware that both teams could top £230,000 a week, ive seen no previous evidence of such wages. Im prepared to stand corrected.

Real expect to wrap up the deal within the next seven days after formalising a package in which Ronaldo will earn £9.5 million in his first year – £183,000 a week – followed by a 25 per cent pay rise in each of the following five years of his contract. This would amount to £556,000 a week in the final year of his contract.

Seeing as nobody has made a top 4 prediction for about 20 posts, I'll get the thread back on track.

1. Man Utd
2. Arsenal
3. Man City
4. Chelsea

I noticed how the spurs fans are putting their team in the top 4 but always without any reasons .

Blind faith! :D

I'd currently rate the Spurs over the Liverpool tbh, better options in defence, better first choice midfield (albeit maybe not in depth following the signings Dalglish has made), it's only up front where I'd say Liverpool have the edge.

That said there's still 4 other teams to consider before I'd put either of those in a predicted top 4, it all depends on transfers as at this moment in time I'd say only United and Chelsea are sure to finish there in two of the places. Can City deal with playing Champions League football and the Premiership? If Arsenal lose Csec will they still be able to finish that high up?

Gonna be one of the most interesting seasons for quite some time that's for sure.

UTD, Chelsea, City, Liverpool.

I think it will be close between Chelsea and City, City will probably end up with fighting among the ranks and unrest.
UTD have that team mentality and Liverpool will overcome Arsenal and take that 4th spot, Arsenal have been no where near active enough this window and Liverpool seem to be on the rebound.

I think the top 3 really will be very close this year though.

Top three without a doubt is Man Utd, Chelsea and City but I don't know the order of that, hopefully as I wrote it.;)

Now for the fourth spot, it could go to one of Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs and I won't bother guessing at this stage.

United
Chelsea
City
Arsenal

Was gona say Liverpool ahead of Arsenal. Can't see it. Liverpool and Spurs to battle out 5th and 6th

1. United
2/3. City / Chelsea
4. Liverpool or Arsenal.

City have got a great squad but look very ordinary if silva is missing. Aguero will be awesome I imagine but I don't think mancine is the right man for the job.

ManU (Because no one is in shape to fight man u to the bitter end)

Livepool (improved a lot most especially in the managerial role and off the field problems am surprised how people in here under look the effect the manager and off the field problems can have on the performance of a team)

man City (Would have given Manu a big fight but with all those big names the CL will destruct them a bit from the PL)

Chelsea (The new manager knows that he has to win the CL hence will give the CL higher priority and of course the ACON effect).

Arsenal & Spurs to fight for 5th and 6th (because arsenal will trade their top 4 position for silver ware may be FA cup)

Top 4 of Chelsea, Man U, City, and Arsenal with the first three challenging for the title.

Liverpool have spent but I don't actually rate their players compared to the above teams.

1. Chelsea
2. United
3. City
4. Arsenal

I'm pretty confident that AVB will bring us the title this season AS LONG as we sign a creative midfielder and either a winger or a quality inside forward (ala Neymar, Mata etc..).

Isn't it a bit premature to be predicting top 4 before the end of the transfer window? So much could happen still. If all squads stay exactly as they are now, then I think the top 4 will be:

1. Man United
2. Man City
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal

However, if Arsenal lose Fabregas and/or Nasri, I think Liverpool will get 4th place. Even if Chelsea get Modric, I can't see them doing any better than 3rd, and I think United will win regardless of whether we get Sneijder or not! :D

edit: oh and I can see Aguero being very successful at City. He's a fantastic striker and if Tevez stays they could form a great partnership. It's a shame not much can be said for City's other strikers though, Dzeko seems like a waste of money, and Ballotelli has some serious attitude problems. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last season at City for one or both of them.

Chelsea
Man United
Man City

Liverpool

Can only see a few point between teams in bold.

Its always harder to win it as Champions so going with Chelsea, new manager, team at its peak, cant see them getting another season out of some of the old boys, United new keeper could take time to settle, away form was shocking so cant see how this is going to be improved with a new young keeper.

Should be another exciting season considering the money that has been thrown about by the Manchester teams. Can see Chelsea buying a few more players.

Man City
Chelsea
Man Utd
Spurs

My reasoning is because towards the end of last season Yaya and Silva looked settled and very good, with Aguero they will get a different striker and it doesnt matter if Tevez stay, Dzeko turns up or Balotelli kills himself or a youth player!

Chelsea will overturn United because for a lot of their players it will be the final season for them.

Utd should have been exposed last year and wasn't because of Mancini holding city back to cement the Champions League and Chelsea imploding spectacularly!

Spurs will out do Arsenal and Liverpool because they will invest the Modric money when he finally goes, they are stalling to wrap up other deals and to get more money from Chelsea.
