Just noticed first two seasons been added to netflix under Top Boy: Summerhouse. Looked for it last week and swear it wasn't there.

yeah they been tweaking it or maybe doing a deal. this morning i checked as season 3 is out today and i couldnt find all the epsiodes. will check later looking forward to watching season 3. its a great show.

Hope they haven't removed any, showed my missus the trailer last night for first season as she never saw it before. She watched first two episodes back to back, shes completely hooked.

On a side note, Kano does not seem to age, looks the same as the old P's & Q's video.

yeah was not sure about the series myself at first but it was really enjoyable. think they just changing it round on netflix. the new series is up watched one episode this morning. the older part is top boy summer house on netflix.

First 2 episodes of the new season are brilliant. It's basically the British version of Gomorra with elements of The Wire chucked in.

Just watched the first episode of Topboy (2019) (Topboy Season 3)
Very impressed, hopefully the rest of the season is as good.

Highly recommend this series for anyone who hasn't seen it yet :-)

The naming is foolish from netflix side, you'll have folks starting the new series thinking it's the first. Why not just call it Season 3.

I presume its because they wasn't certain theyd get access to the 2 previous season, as you can tell from the writing it doesn't matter if you have or haven't watched the first two as its a complete fresh start with only throw away comments about previous seasons.

Before watching it all I had no idea about the casting for season 3 and was shocked to see Dave in it.

Next is a spoiler so only open if your done with it.

So I saw an article saying how Modie was alive at the end as there was a guy with a burnt face and eye patch, but was that not the summerhouse boy that got acid thrown in his face?

as i said earlier the naming is stupid. drake is funding season 3 . he has a album dropping and probably wants to try and do a " power " . its a good show. only the cockney bruv and slang can get a bit tiring

Somehow came across this in my Netflix feed last week, maybe it was recommended and really enjoying it so far, 4 episodes into season 1.

Turns out it was cancelled by channel 4 six years ago, but Netflix have picked it back up after Drake of all people saw it and brought it to Netflix's attention.

Pretty standard gangland London drug trade storyline but pulling in Jamaican vibes with decent story telling, music and cinematography.

Getting Chicago's Power vibes, but with a very strong UK influence. Turns out it was the number one show in the UK this week after Power.

Thanks for moving mods, didn't see this thread when I searched. Seems like all sorts of licencing rights issues if only season 1 is now available on netflix in the UK?

How weird, unless it's under a different name?

Edit: Okay, so season 1 is listed as season 1 of 'Top Boy' and is 10 episodes. But the next two seasons are only 4 episodes each under the 'Top Boy Summerhouse' branding? Is that right?

Top Boy: Summerhouse is the previous seasons, Top Boy Season 1 (2019) is the 3rd series.
