Top Gear Is Back!!

Hi there

That Corvette was a bit mental and is the car I've been eyeing up for my next purchase. Good to see that they can corner as good as the best just the build quality thats a little off putting but It is made out of plastic/fibre-glass I suppose. Wonder how harsh they deem harsh as been for our roads, though I suspect that 7.0l engine drinks the fuel so maybe the 5.7l 400BHP varient is a better choice, but for now the Mustang is staying. :D

Still impressive beating a Zonda and the Ferrari F430 around the track with an American Muscle car which many deem as crap handling. ;)

Next purchase you haven't even sold your GTO yet have you? :D

Nah I am just having my very own car collection! :D

I will be selling it late June as it needs MOT sorting so can't be arsed with sorting it all out, for now I am just keeping it clean and driving it at weekend to keep everything in running order. Once I've come back from Italy I will get the car MOT'd and then get it advertised properly and get rid, but will certainly miss her.

And the BBC are certainly quick...

Streams of the show are up and running.

Enjoy.

No, i want the proper radio show... :(

Another great epsiode! Always seem to be running away from whatever they get involved in though..

me too, bonus points if anyone finds out if the show is available anywhere. Had kind of hoped there might be a stream of it on the BBC site.

To be honest, when i seen it i immediately thought Gibbo as you seem to be one of few that would go for something like that in the UK. Feel free to throw the stang my way if your feeling generous ;)

But £60k, for a Corvette

I thought the camera work and the way it flowed with the music was particularly awesome in this show, lost track of the times when I just went "wow". Just little things like when Clarkson says something along the lines of "then came the Germans" and that bimmer and merc come over the crest of the hill side by side.

Awesome direction, just purely awesome.

IN 18-24 months I reckon they will be in the 30-40k range. :)

You can get a new Corvette now with the 5.7l engine at 400BHP for approx 36k and those will be sub 30k in 12 months. The main problems with Corvettes they seem to depreciate really badly.

Nah, the best shot was the low level super-slomo of the Jag wheel spinning on the gravel... fantastic!
