Top Gear Is Back!!

As in Southampton Millbrook? :p

LOL - no! I used to live in Sedbergh Rd in Millbrook, and can defo say that thats NOT the Millbrook I mean't!! :D

It's in a continent, sorry, county many miles from us. Manufactuers use it to test and kill their cars, before being released to the public. They have a track which simulates many different road surfaces, such as cobbles, pot holes, speed humps etc.

Thinking about it, they could take their cars to the Millbrook in Southampton, and achieve a similar effect by driving down Kendal Ave!

Also, do BMW not fit run flats as standard, which totally kill the ride, no matter that as you said, it was on 18's anyway.

Yes they do - I have driven an E60 Sport with 18's and runflats and to be honest the ride isn't nearly as bad as everyone says.

Won't compare to a C6 though.

I suppose the average top gear viewer isn't in to japanese animation. I'll pretend I never heard the word CBeebies! Animation doesn't always mean for kids. :p

Here's the title sequence from Cowboy Bebop. Unfortunately, I can't find a vid of the new top gear one for comparison. But apart from the music, I thought it was strikingly similar.

I thought the p2 looked really unsettled on the track with the computer kicking in so often and deciding what to do, it was pitching all over the place figuring out what to do with the power. not really impressed.

Thought the same - lurching around as it decided what to do with the power/brakes

Not my idea of a good performance car tbh.

Thats what I thought, the car looked as if it would be better in RWD format IMO. What is with the switch though, lets put in a switch that makes the car handle like a bag of carp. Why not get rid of the switch and make it run properly full time ??

Because the entire point of the car is to show what a difference the ATD system makes, so they do a lap with it off, and a lap with it on.

Wouldnt it be pretty obvious as its basically an impreza ?? I guess it does illustrate what an improvement it makes as you say.

Did anyone noticed the subaru R1 shown just prior to the p1?

Anyone know as to whether it is schedule for a release here in the Uk? It looks nice....

New contender for your next car, to go alongside the HR-V and other really similar cars

Looks nice? You have INCREDIBLY strange tastes, it looks pap, hence why they unveiled it as the basis of the P1 in such a derogatory way.

Nah, not at all but im interested in the concept of it.

It is nice but then i guess you see it from the other side of the fence. I dont think using the r1 as a derogatory term as per the P1 is justified, clarkson was probably jealous he wouldnt fit in one and his head is bigger than Jesus's... :D
