Top Gear Is Back!!

Fat chance after what the stig did to the ccr.

Given that Top Gear now apparently have a number of "Stigs", I'm sure it's only a matter of time before a generous owner lends them one, under the proviso that the right driver is used.

253mph

Amazing, the speed all the scenery was going past on the film really puts that speed into perspective

Yeah the scenery flying past is incredible. It's like being on the TGV if you've ever been, but that does over 300mph!! It's incredible the way the world flies past you.

I'd love to be sat in that cockpit

But not as great as the others. Horrid understeer and underpowered it seemed from the report.

The 3.2V6 would cure one of those problems, and Autodelta getting hold of it and fitting a limited slip differential would probably cure the other :)

I think it having the 3.2 V6 would help and the 4WD would make it MUCH better IMO!

Does exactly what it says on the tin, 250mph without any fuss. Will be interesting to see what it can do on the track (if any owner ever loans them one).

Its only 300km/h when its carrying passengers btw (the 300mph run was for the record attempt).

Kinda their fault really though, it was too twitchy

I mean 4 seconds off a lap just from fitting a rear wing shows the difference having the proper downforce makes :)

Errr you mean like when the Stig crashed the £350,000+ Koenigsegg???

A one-off in a car that was notoriously aerodynamically unstable until they fitted a rear wing, prompted by that very crash.

EDIT - And include the points posted above :).

Indeed, that is true, there are at least 2 but i only know the name of one. :)

Still, they might have actually done it already but as it isnt at the top of the board they didnt put it up.

You never know, i expected the rx8 to come first round the track, when the tt did i was amazed.

I missed the beggining, dont tell me he got to drove this car again? new model?

Captain slow drove it at 253 mph on a closed VW track.

Got to say you could tell from the driving syle it was a different stig driving the TT/Alfa/RX8 as he was more agressive and not very smooth compared to the Stig last session. He also took a different line into the first corner not quite the F1 line that was commented on as being different but it was a bit in the middle.

I recon it won't be long until they have a Veryon round the track it will be when some rich person needs some publicity for something, like how they got the Enzo on.

It will all be down to the dsg box I should imagine, as it was only like 0.1 secs slower, manual V manual I would say the rx8 would walk it.
