Top Gear Is Back!!

hahahaha funny episode. Liked the bit when Hammond was towing the cars

Also i thought that plane on the airfield was only a sort of "fake" one used to practice safety exercises.

I liked it, if you are able to "grow" petrol, who don't loads of farmers do this and make money from it?

No, its a real 747 thats been taken out of service.

I assume you mean petrol? Because you have to grow immense tonnages (and hence acres) of it to generate a relatively low output, so it's not viable on that scale.

Also, it reacts with certain plastics and alloys as it's more corrosive so won't necessarily run directly in a standard car.

The final problem is that bio-ethanol only has 70% of the calorific value of petrol so it doesn't make such a big bang, although it does have a higher octane rating, so fuel consumption goes up.

Seemed to take a lot to pull that aircraft

Tractor's not geared for speed!

That plane

Is the one from James Bond - Casino Royale. An ex 747 mocked up with B47 style engine pods. Not a real aircraft but once was.

FYI the whole miami chase scene was filmed there!

Seems like the tractor pulled it a LOT easier if you ask me.

And yes, its the same plane in the same place on the same track.

Though sits seems to suggest it was driven by someone else and not Tom from Fifth Gear: http://www.easier.com/view/News/Motoring/Volkswagen/article-85593.html and even http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/1363/.
