Top Gear Is Back!!

That was an excellent series. Definatley the best program on television at the moment.

Does anyone know when exactly its coming back? "The summer" is kind of vauge.

SO disappionted that its finished, need something to watch on a Sunday until the F1 comes of now :(

The limos had me howling big time, and the Mustangs had me drooling.

Why did they make a big point of the BHP data of the dyno, if a company states 500BHP it is never at the wheels, or is it

Its 500BHP at the crank, not the wheels which they measured. Top Gear is great fun to watch but the amount of mistakes and comments they make at times is quite shocking.

Supposedly the Roush as a completely different suspension setup and LSD in comparison to the Shelby which makes it so great. Wheras in fact the differences are is that the Roush has tuned dampers/struts, springs along with front and rear sway bars. Plus it does weigh approx 400lbs less too but that is the only difference. Both cars have identical LSD's.

.

This bothered me loads & reminded me of the lies wrote about me by the press in the past. It's either factual or not.
Also the scripted jokes and unnatural pauses make me cringe. Despite all this i still enjoy the show as it makes me laugh, also Hammy is a living legend.

What a waste of time that rolling road was. Bonnet down and no fan etc to supply air. Hardly fair to the car, even proper rolling roads dont give great results a lot of the time.

As said above, they werent even looking for the right result!

Still, much better than the last episode.

Ahem, all dynos measure at the wheels and then calculate corrected engine figures from the run down..

Same as your 520bhp was done...

I highly doubt the operator would have been dumb enough to allow them to quote the wheel figure, and if they had, I doubt it would be near 450bhp!

Thats what I thought, its too obvious a mistake. Still seems incorrect though. We should quote at the wheels power like the americans do anyway
Very funny episode overall and I dont think Lamar was acting, poor guy really didnt seem in on the joke

Probably because he's a bell end with no sense of humour.

HI there

Thats possible, but seems odd how the figure they got corresponds pretty much to what the cars get in the US at the wheels.

Also if it was just down on power then its no doubt due to the fact the car was cooking itself due to the fact it would have been revving like mad and doing approx 150mph on the rolling road and had absolutely ZERO air flow and the bonnet was down. That say to me the dyno operators are clueless anyway letting the engine bake like that.

Yes agreed dynos are generally in accurate even when measuring at the wheels too as tyre pressure, tyre type, rear-diff gears can also effect at the wheels results. Dyno's are just good for comparing different mods as long as you use the same dyno. :)

Moyles and clarkson :D and his beer

Got to agree Piper so HOT, but what was she doing with a posh accent that was just grating. Nothing a bit off gaffer tape couldn''t solve..
Doesn't that ruin the point of having a big mouth?
