Top Gear Season 14

True enough.

I'm not one to comment on the standard of the show normally (you know it's always gonna be someone on a linear line between A and B; it rarely surprises), but this week's must have been poor: I fell asleep halfway through!

Can't remember where I heard this, but the license fee pays for around 1 quarter of the TG budget, when it is put alongside how much revenue it generates for the BBC.

As for tonights episode, it was absolutely brilliant imo, and my jaw dropped when the twingo flipped into the tunnel :D

Brilliant episode. Loved watching the Twingo segment and recognizing all the roads and places :) The airport bit at the start i could have done without though. Im off to break into the sewer network :D

It's like people's attitudes towards America - it's just fashionable to hate TG.

No, it isn't.

The fact that only one other person (that I can see) has come out in this thread to support my 'It was crap' theory surely proves this?

As far as I'm concerned Top Gear is going massively down hill for a while now. I understand that it is npw more an entertainment show than anything but if you're going to go that route, at least do something vaguely entertaining. We've seen oddball vehicles smashed up by Touring car drivers at least 3 times now. It is boring. Likewise we've seen a car plough into the sea. It was dull enough when a XJS did it off of an aircraft carrier, How exactly does: Same Stunt, Less Speed, Less glorious location equal Entrainment?

Why do they need to change if only 2 people in this thread have complained about it though?

They are targeting a mass market with their audience, and it works.

So why have you continued to watch it if it's been in decline of quality for a while? I take it we can rest assured we won't see you in this thread after the next episode then, since it's in decline and was rubbish this week? Woo!

Dunno if it is because i have been watching a lot of old TGs on Dave and whatever but this series just seems very poor, far too up Clarkson's backside and a bit 'too silly'. Don't get me wrong, it's a great show but sometimes i cringe and flick. I flicked over from the airport bit for example.

I guess it's something to watch during the star in a reasonably priced car segment.

Serious question, why do you continue to watch it?
