Very weak episode, almost as weak as the one a couple,of years ago where they were trying to out run each others police cars on that old army base.

CGI and blue screen and special effects in Top Gear?! What's going on?! Madness!

Hilarious episode, but maybe taking it a bit too far, it's sooooo clear it's just scripted. It's better when they kinda of just go with it.

It's always been scripted. And when they do things "off the cuff" they just make sure that makes the cut.

Came in here expecting most people to hate that episode - pleasantly surprised that most people actually found the same as me - one of the most hilarious episodes in a long time.

Of course, there's always going to be one or two who didn't like it, but the overwhelming majority of people replying in here shared the same views - that it was freaking amazingly funny.

Both the wife and I were properly laughing out loud to this episode - the Stig's laps were priceless.

I do have to laugh at the continued 'its not as good as it used to be' brigade. This was a similar episode to the '£1000 Police cars challenge' which was 2008. In fact, I'd say this episode was a bit better. TG really hasn't changed much at all, which is remarkable considering it has been going since 2002.

This is a long series this time (12 episodes) so they have a bit of 'room' for some extra cocking about, if you want reviews, well then the next couple of episodes will have you covered:

Episode 4
BMW M4 • BMW i8 • Mercedes-AMG GT and Richard pays tribute to the legendary Land Rover Defender

Episode 5
Porsche Cayman GTS . Chevrolet Corvette Stingray . Ferrari LaFerrari and Jeremy and James look at the history of Peugeot. James tests the Ferrari LaFerrari in Italy

Will that satisfy? (probably not - keep watching anyway though eh)

Pretty much every TV show ever made is scripted. Even the news is scripted. That's how broadcasting works.

Obviously it's scripted. It just feels so much more fake somehow when it's blindingly clear. They need the maintain the correct image and the latest episode was borderline not it. Funny though :p

Good episode, a good few giggles. Specially the part where James drove off and his boot decided to stay put smashing the window.

Enjoy.

Just a 5 min review of something would be nice, mainly because I enjoy the TG production values and footage of fast things going sideways.

They normally do stuff like that, among the messing about. It's just for the last couple of episodes that they haven't :p

There will be some more "normal" episodes coming up by the sounds of things:
