Top secret US spy drone captured by Iran

Yes there has. Why do you think, for example, that the entire IranAir fleet is made up of increasingly ageing old first gen 747's and Airbus A300's for example? Not because they cant afford new ones thats for sure - it's because Iran have been under tight sanctions for years and years!

It may very well be the case, I haven't followed the subject closely.

The MIM-23 HAWK was developed in the late 1950's and entered service in 1960. I'd hardly call it impressive to simply copy 50 + year old technology that you've already owned for years.

Yeah - but they still get a lot out of it in terms of: they now have the skills, knowledge and manufacturing capability to produce a domestic missile.

They will only improve on it, though I don't believe for a moment they've got a homebuilt S300 yet like many bloggers are stating.

This is BS if i've ever seen it.

You can blatantly see they have covered up the undercarriage because they couldn't produce a good enough mock up.

Very good fibre glass copy if you ask me.........

the Russians are flying drones over London?

got a source for that?

Yea, it's on BBC News obviously. You know the point i was making - major world powers have spied on each other using this sort of technology for decades and will continue to do so for decades to come. You can guarantee Russia have as much detailed intelligence on us as we do on them. It's how the world works.

errm no not really flying a military drone (or hell any unauthorized air plane since 9/11) over London would either require armed engagement of the RAF or for the Russians to have a completely undetectable drone (and according to you us too) so why on earth are the Americans using these hopelessly inferior drones if the uk and the Russians are flying magical undetectable counterparts?

I shall retract my opinion.

Russia does not spy on any country it is not at war with and neither does the UK.

Like everyone else here I am not an expert on secret military technology so I've no idea what they'd use to do so if they did, but come on, the point I was making was fairly clear. Nations spy on each other. Have done since the dawn of time, will continue to do so until the end of time.

So you were talking out of your *** then?

You havnt got a shread of proof have you?

I would imagine if IRAN were flying drones over UK nuclear sites, preparing for military strikes, it would be more than enough to start a war.
