Exercise and eat well. Unless of course there is a medical problem behind excessive weight.

You mean intelligent life or just other life? Much more probably the latter, by maths alone the former is probably true as well.

Either a Chinese hero or the current US President? Perhaps an American idol like Clint Eastwood or Marilyn Monroe?

Ummm... yes it does. Especially cardio. Diet is very important, but I know of a friend who is pretty overweight, but doesn't each much at all. But he does virtually no exercise, so therefore, doesn't shift weight.
