What a gem of a game! Thoroughly enjoying it.

Can you change difficulty half way through? Or will I need to start a new character?

Anyone who hasn't purchased GO FOR IT. Great little game, shallow enough to be pick up and play. Nice shiny graphics (for what they are), well thought out talent trees, lots of nice shiny loot and hordes of enemies.

As said don't pick normal unless you've never played a pc game before, it's way to easy. Hard seems to be ideal.

Excellent game, really enjoying it. Highly polished with a fantastic interface!

I recommend it to anyone, can't go wrong for £14

Re starting tonight on hard though. After reaching lvl 7 on medium it seems a tad to easy

Great little game! Loving it so far....

Just a couple of gripes though - anyone else find themselves picking up all sorts of junk while still fighting a horde of creatures? Also, with the attribute points, is there ANY point in putting them into dexterity and magic if you are a berserker??? (the description seems to say they ONLY assist ranged and magic skills!?!?)

Other than this........great little game!! (oh, and +1 for a patch to introduce a co-op mode!!!! :D)

Aside from my lvl 16 char disappearing when i loaded the game this morning, and the occasional crash, and the Brink quest being fubared 50% of the time on the Steam version of the game, and that trying to attack mobs usually puts me in orbit around them until a leftclick doesn't click through the damn mob, it's great.

Anyway, I was reading the manual and it alludes to: "if you want to quickly build levels, check out the tomb on the east side of Torchlight". There's a crypt / graveyard in the southeast, but it seems devoid of anything to do? Is my install knackered, or is this missing content

I am loving this, not sure how they got away with ripping off Diablo quite so exactly though, you could write a list of at least 50 things that are exactly the same!

that might be the endless dungeon, only opens once u complete the game though iirc.

oh and i love this game, started this morning and its great fun, will keep me happy for a long time :)

Picked it up last night and it's allot better than I expected. Should be fun to pass the time until DA:O is released, although hit level 10 on hard and it's still reasonably easy.

Those 1-10 Dungeon maps you can pick up are pretty hard, I went into one at lvl10 and had to spend tons of potions to stay alive, so for anyone that think it's to easy grab one of them :)

Well decided to go for it and got it, been playing for about an hour. Going for a Mage fully focused on attack spells so far.

Started on Hard mode, isnt too difficult so far, got to level 5.

Will play some more later.

Well, they did create Diablo! :) But yeah, I know what you mean - even the atmospheric music is Diablo-like but then it's the same guy who did the music for Diablo :p

Once you hit the 3 portals section (you'll know it when you come to it) the difficulty starts to ramp up on hard, I'm going through a ton of potions now trying to stay alive, I may have to switch to a Sword/Shield combo.

The music in the starting area and mines is almost exactly the music rom Tristram in the original Diablo :D Nostalgic to the max!

well loving the game ,playing on hardcore already died once to a explodeing chest wasnt happy so that was the end of that character, started another still on hardcore gives the game that bit more of an edge :)
