Tottenham will get 3rd BOTTOM next season

Jonathan Woodgate aint a sick note he is over his injuries he played 31 games last season so its a fact!.

King had an op on his foot last week and looking to get fit for the new season

You cannot say he is over his injures because of 1 season. And, how many times has King come back to fitness, only to go out 5-10 games later with another injury?

Spurs will do well to finish top 6 with the competition in the premiership these days. :)

You have the normal top 4 - then you have the likes of Everton, Portsmouth, Man City, Aston Villa... all capable on their day of putting out a great team, and all dipping their toe in the transfer market and improving their squads further.

Quoted for truth........teams rarely jump from outside the top ten one season to third the next, and the new players will have to bed into the side.

any team to get into the top 4 it will be spurs with the spending power clubs like everton and villa cant match

Take me up on that 40 note bet paypal end of season :D

Doesn't mean a thing tbh.. I think we were 3rd in the spending charts last season. I recall seeing this on Sky Sports. Didn't get us far..

you if spurs finish 3rd i owe you £40 if they finish anywhere else then you owe me £40?

im liking the idea of this

The difference between Spurs and Arsenal (3rd) last year was 37 points. I really do not think you can make up that difference in one season!

Also Arsenal were only 2 points behind Chelsea (2nd) and 4 behind Man U (1st) so if you think 1st and 2nd are well out of reach than surely 3rd will be too.

The only way Spurs are going to finish 3rd is if we're controversially relegated to the Championship.

I think Spurs have made some good signings, I can't wait to see Bale back in action and I think Ramos has a proven track record of getting the most out of places. However, we're still a couple of world class players away from competing with even Liverpool.

3rd is a little optimistic.

We can, and I feel we will return to the 5th spot that we didn't achieve last season because of all the off the field issues and poor form of the back 4.

If we get a decent keeper in (McGregor from Rangers is the most likely) or if Robbo finds his form we will be ok.

King and Woodgate are capable of being a superb centre back pairing, however, it is common knowledge King won't be able to play more than 1 game a week, thats why Ramos is actively seeking another decent centreback (and by that I don't mean Jar Jar Binks from the Spammers).

The comment on Bale being unfit is laughable. He was ever present for us until his foot injury and then was out for the season. Nothing there to suggest he is constantly unfit (look at Van Persie, Saha and the majority of the Spammers for an explanation of the term constantly unfit).

Attacking wise we don't have a problem, and with Berbatov looking more and more likely to stay we should continue to score goals easily (stats from the past 3 seasons support this). The only problem stopping us from hitting the top 4 is our defensive game, if the back 5 and holding midfielder player to form, then its a possibility.

However, this season, I would take 5th and the UEFA Cup.

As for other sides. United will be there and there abouts as always, even if Ronaldo goes, they will replace him with class. Chelski, no-one knows. They have the players to challenge, but with Roman "Ego-Trip" Abramovich struggling to find a manager I cannot see it being very harmonious at the Bridge.

As for Liverpool, this will depend on what type of start they have, will they under achieve as usual, will Torres be as good as he was this season? Arsenal, again, who knows. They haven't looked like replacing Flamini yet (Nasri maybe, yet unproven in the league, and likely to be holding out for a move to Barca/Real after the Euro's) and with rumours if Pleb and Adebuyawhore leaving, what will happen to them is anyones guess.

The rest, Everton will be there as usual, Villa I don't know, depends how they replace Barry and Mellberg, and who they get in as keeper. Man City, again, another powertrip chairman, and the majority of their success was down to Sven, they also have a few players who may leave because he has gone. Sparky is a good manager, but will take time for his system to become effective.

All I know is that next season will be entertaining.

Totally agree with you twinblade, 3rd is well out of our reach at the moment,

Ramos has turned the team around and is slowly getting the team to start playing the way he wants but its gonna take time through this coming season as well.

The new arrivals that have come in are great and i think they will make great additons to the team but they will need time to bed into the premiership and get the pace of the game right, I think buying young quality players like Dos Santos is great thing for the club and to be able to attract players like that sayes something about the way the club wants to go in the future but thats the main thing its a future progression.

No-one at the club realistically thinks we will be top 4 this time next year, I think we would be more than happy with top 6 and grabbing a uefa cup spot.

My main worry so far this transfer window (and i know its still early) is the fact we've not been linked with any approaches for central defensive cover and also a quality left footed left winger, These are things that have been glarringly obvious to the fans for the past 3 seasons and need to be addresses urgently.

I hope that Ramos can pull another modricesque signing out of the bag as there wasnt a sniff of that in the press until it was a done deal, I like the way that signing was handled and im glad we've finally managed to start doing business in private after the Jol debacle

I look forward to next season just to see how the team plays and im sure we will be an entertaining team to watch :)

Spurs should be looking to challenge us (Everton) for 5th next season, not looking to challenge for 3rd. Trying too much too soon is a surefire way for it all to backfire. Teams like Everton have shown that small improvements every year is a great way to move your team up the table and to stay there.

push for the tittle you heard it first...

Actually no, I didn't. I heard it last season and the season before.

With the manager and squad you do have now, and with likely additions, you should be looking for a 6th place finish at the very least though.

We have been linked with bucket loads of defenders. The latest link is Carlos Cuellar of Rangers, and Gordon Durrie has come out in the press today and stated that they feel Rangers will not be able to resist the financial pull of Spurs as we are also in for their keeper.

In addition to this, we have been heavily linked with Richard Dunne (he was due a medical) and Jar Jar of West Ham.

There are also a couple of Spanish defenders too, but I cannot remember their names, Jarque I believe was one.
