Toyota Yaris GR4 4x4 Rally going into production.....

Love this car:

What colour are you going for Gibbo? Shame there are only four choices and two of them are white! Will you get it wrapped? I imagine the value will hold since they are only producing a set amount, definite future classic I think.

Massive love and want for one of these. Will take one for a test drive, I am after something special for a third car and this or an Alfa 4c is strangely alluring.

But as I am hearing production isn't going to be limited I can wait until I've moved house and then decide.

Three UK reviews above, all positive  I really want one, seems like a perfect car for UK roads. Given I'm not using my current cars at all at the moment. It would seem a bit daft to throw money at this, as much as I may want one.

I really really like that Toyota have been brave enough to do this and I hope its a massive success.

I also really hope these Youtube bloggers aren't being paid to say great things and it is genuinely good, advertising disclosure is the wild west on the internet and call me paranoid, but a lot of stuff is being reviewed positively based on track days or actual cash being given out.

I'd not really followed this but watched the review by Jonny Smith yesterday and i was mega impressed.

I had a MK1 Yaris and i loved that car so much, more so than my Impreza so something like this looks amazing.

I'm sure i'll never own one but it's right up there on the wish list if i ever suddenly become rich

Just put £1000 deposit down for one, test drive should happen in December and if I like it, which I am sure I will then I will take a circuit pack edition on the basis I get one as dealership said there is only 2500 units, not sure on truth of this though?
I've been tempted and by the 0% finance deal and I hate finance usually. I read the first year cars are nearly sold out already but have not found clarity on this, inc when and how many in second year and how long total production for. Would probably replace the MX-5 RF I bought new last year if I do but that's a great car too, just not sure I want to run two nice cars -currently have an old banger as a runabout.
Left an enquiry with a local dealer and said they'll have a demonstrator in next month or two. Asked me if I would make up my mind by looking around a std Yaris :). I can understand why as I mentioned the boot space a few times and I think they got the impression that was the only thing I was concerned about - but it does need to fit my brompton folded, something the MX-5 cannot do. I want to be sure it's a long term keeper however so would want to check one out before deciding.

Should hold it's value well IMO. Very rare breed of car.
Red or pearlescent white & circuit pack would be my choice.

Keep in mind that the boot space is different in the GR versus the standard Yaris. It’s discussed in the Carwow video.

Get similar performance from my 1.6 4 cylinder (bit less at the high end, bit more at the low end due to turbo sizing) and it's a fun amount of power.

I picked up on that yesterday when I watched that review. It's quite a bit smaller but I think depth to the rear seats is about the same so I think will be fine. Need it under the cover so scallywags cannot peer inside and see the bike which might give them ideas.
Only thing I dislike atm is that plastic engine cover. Mazda did away with that **** on the MX-5 even though the engine is based on one that has a plastic cover in others models in the Mazda range and such a car deserves the same treatment. Just looks naff

Dunno why but I just can't get excited about a small engine even putting out decent amounts of HP and torque - something about a V6, even in a small car, the sound and feel of the power delivery that just scratches a certain itch.
