Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

I feel now is the time to say thanks for the FTE tip. Know I said I was wary before, but funny thing I that as I considered RRR and FTE, I decided to go with FTE, mainly because it was ISAble in the end. Was kicking myself the first days of RRR metoeric rise, but FTE is through the resistance at 7.45 (Getting 7.52 as I write this) and going. Seeing as I bought at 5.35, I'm starting to feel pretty happy now.

Sure, I missed out on 100%ish on RRR. Nearly 50% soon and counting ain't really what you can call a loss at the end of the day though ;)

Many thanks gc4170.

Zodar what ISA do you use, if you don't mind me asking :) What do others use ?

On the shares front, my CAZA holding has taken a bit of a hit, but XEL, RRR remain very strong, RRL seems to be bobbing along ok, HER however was a good punt and BARC well might as well not bother :p

I'm umming and arring about top slicing now it's getting to this level, but seeing comments about market cap and the strength it's shown today I'm really struggling to sell. I'd only sink the profit into HER, which probably isn't too far off keeping it in CNR.

Either way, great news today. :)

Hovering over buy on HER at the moment, any holders here?
I've been holding + banging on about them since 0.7p or so :D

Rather than put smaller amounts into the companies I thought more risky / didn't have time to research I whacked it all into HER and hoped :p

Seems to be working out so far, excited to see what happens the rest of the week :)

It's frustrating wishing I had some spare ££ for XEL, RRR, and the countless others which have rocketed recently!

I've mainly use Interactive Investor, iii.co.uk, for stock trading. Have an ISA account and a normal trading account there. I think their site layout is good, and especially enjoy the ability to set limit orders etc for free on an ISA (Costs £1 or something like that on the normal trading account - but the cost is withdrawn from their execution fee, making it free if it goes through).

Also have had no problems with ISA eligible shares etc like I've heard some people occassionally have, where a share is eligible to be put in an ISA but their trading platform won't allow it. None of that so far at iii.

What are TDWaterhouse charging people at the moment? They have upped my price to £12.50 per transaction which doesn't seem right it was £9.95 then dropped to £7.99

Impressive, but i've been burnt before when buying on a sharp rise!

Damn sharp, that went up from 18%~ to 45%~ in the space of 15 minutes, touched 48% at one point. Ah well, I'm more than happy with today's 26% rise on CNR. Here's hoping the luck continues tomorrow, after the day I've had at work could do with the continued good news. :)

Think I missed the boat on HER, 45% up today! Nuts, that was at 9% when I first wrote that. Congratulations mate!

I'm almost crying, due to an imminent new car puchase I sold out at 1.67p on Thursday

God dammmmmmit :(

To add insult to injury, I also sold out of BMR a few weeks back for this car - out at 3.5p

bad few weeks!

I think its £12.50 I've not used them for ages though, much prefer my HSBC account.

Nice to know it's not just me then, been like this for the last few trades, no idea why the price has gone up will give them a call in the morning see what they say, would go with someone else but i like having cash to instantly invest.
