Newly re-elected Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has reappointed Shia leader Nouri Maliki as prime minister.

The move comes after a deal was reached to end the months of political deadlock which followed inconclusive elections.

But the event was marred by a walkout by al-Iraqiyya, the main Sunni-backed alliance led by former PM Iyad Allawi.

They said Mr Maliki had reneged on an agreement to reinstate four Sunni leaders who had been banned for alleged ties to Saddam Hussein's Baath party.

RRL gained 16% since nov 1st confirming the rises of this year are generally intact for now. iii people going on about a RNS ? somalia not going to spud till july 2011 at earliest i read

Good rally on Superdry today after yesterdays results.
Got out at 11.65% up :D (bet they carry on skywards tomorrow but a gain is a gain and I'm not being greedy

Just my account set up on iii any any thing i should be looking at?
keeping a eye on Rolls-Royce Group

Possibly Boeing as well (Their dreamliner was grounded yesterday :-/ with a Trent 1000 engine in it :D supposedly unrelated to current Trent 900 issues in the A380 but you know what happens when confidence dies...

Took me a while to realise just how little the price means in a stock, I figure its all the same pretty much.
RBS is a penny stock? hit a bit of a low this morning at 40p

I wonder if that could be the low for the moment or the market needs to keep on down to do the normal thing after a big top and scare people out before going up more.

HSBC also looking for it to hold this mornings low, this would match a breakout and retouch of its previous downtrend.

RBS is 40p but worth 24bn. Check the total shares in issue and I think what defines to me a penny share is the massive spread between ask and bid price.
RRL is 2.3% today, RBS is 0.118% spread and GKP which was 10p last year is 0.13% very competitive tender for such a stock
VGM went from 5p last week to 280p this week. Its worth the same amount.
Spread is 1.8% so I guess not much changed except its fair warning they intend to issue a ton more shares?

Still in MTV Si?

Nah sold out with only 15% profit. Bought a flat now which I've got a tenant in paying my mortgage so trying to built up funds quickly, been shifting bits here and there. Took a lot out of the little punts to get in BP before results.

GKP and RRR are looking good on my porfolio at the moment and hoping for a good flow result from UEN next week.

Sounds good, once i've reached my 5p target with MTV i'm selling out and taking out a holding in RRL again, hopefully Puntland will be closer to coming off, MTV wise i was 134% up at one point but kept holding, up 84% now and hopeful the next batch of news about trial results will blow us past 3p.

Yeah just did a bit of reading on the boards about MTV, could be a plan. Although I'm spent up for now, I punted on YELL. too before results hoping for a bounce to make a few 100 but that went the wrong way. I tend to go a bit with what I read rather than my own research which is probably a bad thing!

I have just nosed at shares I was looking at a while ago. For example XEL and NPE, instead though I went for EO. and SOLG. and RKH at a high.

Shame as XEL and NPE have really flew in the last few months! I seem to pick the wrong ones most of the time :( Have my eye on SLE though.
FOGL and HMV are my two painful stocks at the moment, hoping for a good xmas trade for HMV and FOGL to get a rig soon. I used the HMV dividend for some CNR action though.

So MTV 3p you say?? You seem to know a lot about these?

Depends how good the trial results are, lots of people invested on the back of the new bandwagon early this month, quite a few expected trial announcments last week / week before but it didn't happened, short term investors have now left bringing the price down to a nice buying level, i've just stuck another 1k in.

Director / CEO wise we have a wining combination with a proven track record, if the trail results are positive we should see a nice gain in SP.

New York times . 19/8/10. A small AIM stock trading on the london market to watch with massive potential growth . Motive Television trading at 0.43p with a target price of 4p by Uk broker houses . With there bestv Dtt technology all ready in pilot trails in 5 European countries . And in a pilot trails with 3 major US tv stations this could be huge revenue coming in by end 2010 . The US tv stations are looking to take on the cable tv firms and it looks like the bestv will be there tool to take on the cable . We give a 5 year target price of 15p ,med term 8p , and short term 4p. We feel the target price given by the Uk broker house is highly undervalued. Given they are also in talks with 21 tv stations around the world for taking there bestv trails and now they are entering Asia as well this could be a billion dollar compony in the making . Mr fertig has already done this once with a penny stock and we feel he will do this again with MTV . The 5 year target price of 15p could easily be 30p if they corner the market and at the moment they have because there no tec out there to compete with bestv that is allready proven and tested

I read a more recent brokers target last week but can't find it atm.

Good finish for RRR this week. It's been an absolute dream for the last 4 days.
I'm hoping BARC can get their act together, as i'd like to remove them in favour of something more exciting :p

VGM never hit 5p, or 280p. I know I hold them :D.

But I have no doubt that 280p will be reached after they are placed on the TSX. Consolidation was a good move for this company. A lot of Americans/Canadians will want to buy into gold if their currency gets hit. Also the company is undervalued for it will be producing.
