Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Those that sold CNR this week were basically played by the MMs- dropping the price on 'fear' generated by a director sell and the POG coming off slightly. The volumes traded were never that big. Nothing fundamental changed (Certainly not for the worse anyway), so IMO, there was/ is no reason to sell.

RNS released today, nothing special in there, and the price rebounds 30%...

Those that held or bought have beaten the MM's at their own game. I am going to continue holding for a while yet... there's a lot of gold in them hills....

Gold price could keep going down though. May be a second chance on a few things yet if that were the case

Watching a few things bounce lately.
CEY in egpyt though not sure thats over, they confirmed target production

BP bounced at 50% recovery price. More Ruskie trouble, no surprise then. new partner there is dep premier and described as the scariest person on earth. Great! BP not risky then :p rebought a bit

Lloy

GKP off the bottom of their generally downward track recently. Not enough good news to say thats over

CNR looks risky first glance but who could argue with 100% ownership and only 28m market cap. They need more money to go forward I expect

Premier oil plugs a well. Are they in Egypt at all?
Premier has also been awarded two further exploration licenses in the Norwegian North Sea recent APA 2010 bidding round.

*Block 2/6 is located in the eastern margin of the Mandal High and the northern part of the Sogne Basin. The work commitment consists of reprocessing existing seismic data. Premier will operate the license with 60% equity.

*Block 35/12 (part) is an extension to the Production License 378 and is located in the western part of the 35/12 block, south of the recent Grosbeak discovery. The License will be operated by Wintershall Norge.

Al Arabiya television said the 82-year-old former general was about announce on television that he would not seek re-election in a ballot scheduled for September but would stay in office until then to respond to demands for reform.

That will not satisfy many of those on the streets who want Mubarak and his ruling party to step aside immediately.

ARM looking increasingly like a solid buy. Already up over 30 points today and good 4th quarter earnings. Can it keep going up ?

Lots of buzz over Polarwireless at the moment.
Think it might be worth a punt.
BCDI.

Always when I've got no flipping spare cash

I bought in about a month ago, looks promising, there is a lot of take over chatter too, could be interesting times ahead

CNR is annoying me just now, the 30% rise on friday got me good profit but it has fallen again the last 2 days, all positive news aswell, holding patiently

Hoping for news on EDL and HER soon

HER could rise quickly in the morning, an RNS out at 16:20

Herencia is pleased to announce that it has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), through one of its 100% owned Chilean subsidiaries, to potentially acquire a 51% controlling interest in an exciting new copper-gold opportunity in Chile.

Good grades aswell

Importantly, and in addition to the above, three of seven drill holes already completed by the vendor have intersected significant copper and gold mineralisation at shallow levels:

· Hole 1 - 8 metres at 1.55% copper and 0.53 g/t gold from 36 metres

· Hole 2 - 2 metres at 2.69% copper and 0.33 g/t gold from 9 metres

· Hole 2 - 6 metres at 2.20% copper and 1.34 g/t gold from 42 metres

· Hole 3 - 3 metres at 2.88% copper and 2.58 g/t gold from 34 metres

Yep not a brilliant week however MXP seems to be the one positive for me..

Placing sorted, debt deferred and enough wonga to fund the deep drill prospects for later in the year.. Risks greatly reduced on it this week so hopefully on the up from here on!!

I'm seriously considering switching over to commodity spreads after a chat with a mate last night, need to do a LOT of reading before doing so obviously. Obviously at risk of egg sucking, but once profit locked in with stops it certainly looks a lot better than what I've been doing messing around with the odd "get lucky" trades.

PINN looking good, annual report due 21 February. Expecting increase in sales, narrowing of loss. 2011 should be the year they start making profits. Considering putting another 1k into them.
