Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

SPY 2900-2950 tops. If you make money from this purely speculative prediction then buy me a beer!

If you are cash-gang, you haven’t missed the opportunity IMO.

Lots of major money-making opportunities in individual shares too!

I've still got my SPY short open, may increase it again if we hit 2950.

Being only 15% or so away from ATH makes little sense to me, considering so much of the world consumption is basically on pause at the moment.

We are heading for bib subsequent waves of infections the moment we open everything up and people rush out to lap it up. No vaccine or mass immunity will make COVID a constant thread from breaking out for the next months imo.

Exactly what i was thinking... I think they are being a bit reckless. Trump will go full Rtard on it, whilst a lot of EU countries will phase it in gradually....

Ive made about 40000SEK in the past 2 trading days... Which is crazy for me... I might sell everything and stay away for a few more weeks until the 2nd wave has had a chance to bloom :/

I'm officially well into the green again on my trackers. Profits on my individual shares is close to pushing me to ATH in overall gains for individuals and it's still nowhere near their usual trading price.

To take profit or not to. that's the question ..

I wish I had better control on my investment plans. Greed will be the end of me.

I thought about selling a week ago. I didn't, thinking it'll settle down. I then thought about selling on Friday but again thought it would settle down.

I've now just put sell orders on everything. I'm down around 22%, all my profit from the last 4 years is gone and I've now lost money. Just going to keep it as cash for now and hopefully buy in at the right time.

I can't see the markets stabalising any time soon so what's the point staying in?

Did you end up buying back in?

Would've made a sizeable profit by now.

It'll be back in the red in due course.

Let's hope. We've all only been through one pay cycle so not had much time to really buy low. I've burned all my dry powder and wouldn't mind more of the cheap goodness. Although I feel there's more to gain from individual shares than trackers

Solid update from AAZ, sold into. Holding here for longer term prize - but a slight dip is a buying opportunity, so going to top up.

#AA dropping lots today.

Hi everyone, great thread with lots of good contribution! Thanks for the good read.

Wondering if anyone else is tracking LSE:AAF? I'm waiting for the inevitable African fallout for a large buy in, largest telecommunications provider in the continent, high yield/high growth and slowly managing its debt.

The markets finally seem to be reacting to the latest news of economic fallout.

Keir Starmer is right to be pressing for an exit strategy from the government. It’s not enough to keep repeating the same message- not when 2 million jobs are likely to go in the not too distant future.

I've sold out of most of my positions today, still holding my largest and longest term investment in VAST. Also still holding AA, think lots of nonsense this morning, mm needs shares for shorts to close, and my Genedrive holding is looking good today, exit price near 90p for me.

Bank shares seem good value. They’ve scrapped dividends of course which has probably contributed. They’re profitable and well capitalised though.

I’m still long on GVC, LIT, CRM (US), PD (US) and picked up a few AA at the open yesterday (in my fun’ account ;) ) that I will hold for now

GVC and LIT are both a slight loss for me at the moment so will continue to hold and they are both well priced IMO and I think I should be able to see my entry price again soon.

I don’t think Donald Pump wants to see the markets crash on his watch so I see more printy printy further down the line if things start to turn red.

For full disclosure I am out of my positions as soon as I hit some targets - which are not too far above current value as I think things will get ugly later this year.

So did anyone have any Chesapeake Energy stocks in their portfolio? I've been dabbling mainly in partial stocks for the past few months and I came across this one when it was less that a £1 so I bought a couple because I was young and naive, fast forward a month or two and it's going down still so I buy a few more and so so because why the hell not...checked this morning and my £14 investment was worth £1020. Safe to say I cashed out, only in this for a bit of fun.

TLDR Dont have a clue what I'm doing, made a grandy.

Think you have made an error there, they did a 200 split. How much is your £14 worth today
