Ha ... if you want to get lost try Shinjuku station in Tokyo, preferably at rush hour, or if you want something on a massive scale try the main entrance hall at Kyoto station.

If you want utter boredom try Beeston station just outside Nottingham.

Indeed that Class 37 is a little broken to say the least. Mind you even on top form they don't sound anywhere near as good as a Deltic even if they do look a little similar.

Now this thread is far too full of modern plastic tat. Where are the pictures of fire breathing steam engines?
 
Are trains on the continent really as punctual as people say? I haven't done ANY European train travel (except the Chunnel when I was younger). But I travel by train as much as possible at home.
 
It's just failing to catch and a bit old, even a brand new engine is going to produce the black soot.

I have video of a Class 55 'Deltic' (D9009 if you really want to know) starting from cold and not producing anywhere near that amount of smoke and that train is a far bit older (and better looking, for a diesel anyway) than the one posted.
