I don't know whether it's just me (or the fact that I am a higher level and now VIP), but has anyone else been getting a lot more XP since the game was 'released'?

Beforehand I was getting around 500 XP per game and now I am getting around 1300 XP per game (that's without the VIP bonus).

Just downloading this game now?

any tips for a newb? wanna change from BF3 so fancy soem fast action paced shooting and used to play the old Tribes years ago so wouldnt mind giving this game a go! so any of u vets got any tips?

Thanks

can't say I've noticed the xp change. Tips I would give are practice dualing people in a medium armour and skiing. Also try learn the maps as it makes a big difference IMO.

You'll get potato sacked at first. don't worry about it.

Remember: K/D Ratio doesn't mean anything in this game!

Personally I played TDM at first, just to get a feeling for skiing and the weapons, I very much recommend doing that. CTF is overwhelming at first for a new player.. it's not really explained well atm.

If you do try ctf just stick to defending your own flag. You won't have a chance capping so don't bother. You could maybe try destroy the enemy defence and gens if you prefer attacking.

They should put you on servers with other new players so you don't get pwnt too much.

Pretty much K/D means nout in CTF, suiciding is a viable defensive tactic use it.

Practice skiing on ski challange or map roam.

Learn to use spinfusers and how the weapon inheritance works first.

Stay airborne as much as possible when dueling.

Dont llama the flag ( walking over it very slowly)

and always remember GOTTA GO FAST!

Only level 5 I believe so I haven't played that much of it but its a lot of fun.

I just unlocked the Technician class as I prefer to be defending and such. Haven't played the class online yet but will do later. I guess the first thing I should unlock for it if I enjoy the class is the three upgrades for the improved repair tool (as it's cheap)?

Motion sensors look good but are very expensive...hmm any tips from more experienced players?

1.Unlock doombringer
2.Use doombringer
3.Sit on flag
4.???
5.Profit

If you want to be defensive that is the best strategy offensive wise unlock the pathfinder learn how to use it and just go as fast as you can.

I went straight into the deep end yesterday and played CTF as my first game.

Yes it was overwhelming at first but once you've camped a bit at the flag to defend it and gotten use to the classes and weapons you start to really get into it. I then started going midfield and did some duels and I started to get really good at skiing/jetpacking and shooting at the same time. By then I attempted to get the flag and I captured it first time, skiing is brilliant!

I personally like being the sniper class or soldier and this game got me hooked straight away unlike BF3.

Very much this :p

I use a mixture of Doombringer/Brute depending on the map.

You also missed a step out being 'Unlock Superheavy perk'

Fully upgraded it means when super speedy flag cappers bump into you they die :p Lame ++

For the technician you will want to upgrade your turrets, so you can have 2 deployed and the repair tool and nades are always a good choice. Don't forget about the armour upgrades also they will help with your survivability.

Also when repairing the gen don't stand there like a lemon move around, you are the perfect target for a backstab when still.

I started playing the technician last night and it is quite awesome :D. My first sort of defensive role I have played in the game so far. The only problem was that for most of the night (all of the games I played) everyone was more interested in destroying the generator than actually capturing any flags. I bought the £6.99 gold package for the experience boost and boy does it help in getting those unlocks faster! I was also able to get the thumper for technician without having to save up 100k XP and it is so much better than the SMG in closed environments.

I don't know whether to unlock the Infiltrator or Doombringer next. What do you guys think?

Doom is very good for flag defence but if its grabbed then its pretty worthless and a pathfinder or soldier must go a chase down the flag.

Most nubs think gens are the most important thing when obviously there not. Played a few custom servers and noticed what you mean about more XP. Think i got 13k or something compared to normal CTF of say 4k.

Doombringer if you like defense, inf if you like cloaky offense and annoying the enemy. Personally i would go for inf mainly because its fantastic at disrupting the flag stand and destroying the gen.

The game certainly has a huge influx of new players.

So many people are now chatting in matches...there are flags to cap and generators to destroy. There should be no time to chat in type.

If anyone fancies a game, add N19h7m4r3.
Usually on weekends.

I do always find it funny that people have time to chat in this game.

Blink and someone will be off with your flag or stabbing you in the back :o

When I just play around I don't mind chatting, it's not like it's a tournament or anything serious where every second counts. In fact I find it a little dull if no one every talks.
