Doombringer is one of those classes that everyone needs, but at the same time it's probably one of the most boring and unrewarding roles possible.
You have so much to put up with..
- Jug Mirv / Mortor spam
- Shields useless when Generators are down
- Crossfire / Katabatic getting knocked off Flag stand
- Mines getting taken out by people Spamming Spinfusors from the other side map
- Infiltrators throwing stickies, Jackal on you
Most frustrating class by far, but I still find myself playing it if our team doesn't have an HoF.

If I ever end up in any of those situations (which are usually caused by a rubbish team!), I usually switch to Brute with Super heavy. The extra energy you end up with makes them a bit more manoeuvrable.
I generally find with doombringer mines its best to put them well away from the flag stand for example on arx in the tunnels leading towards the flag you will get some glorious kills putting mines there and on drydock the hill coming down towards the flag if you spread them out there.
Also good for gen defence. I don't pllay the doombringer much anymore though, but get force to sometimes when the defence is just lacking.

From previously. I've had some really amazing games, infact a lot of amazing games. Earlier I played roughly ten games and the first five we dominated even though our gens were under attack constantly. Then it went downhill for the last 5 since no help was given when 2 infiltrators and 1 juggernaut took out our gen. It was left up to me and another tech to take them out with no success. We took out the infiltrators occassionally but they'd come back easy enough because they had a jugg with them. We lost the games but me and the other tech topped the leader board (tragic considering)

I decided to give this another go seeing as it is officially released now. I still get poor performance 
i cant run it on Medium @ 1680x1050 native res without having lag, i need to have low setting selected to get constant high fps.
My Specs are: Phenom II x4, 8gb ddr3 corsair vengeance, 5770 1gb
I feel my specs should at least run Medium settings with no problem.

I decided to give this another go seeing as it is officially released now. I still get poor performance
My Specs are: Phenom II x4, 8gb ddr3 corsair vengeance, 5770 1gb

Are you on latest drivers? What fps do you get on medium? Im sure the 5770 should handle that no problem. There are some guys on my community forum running a 5770 without issue.
Just had one of the best pubs ive ever had. We actually got into proper standoffs like you do when you play properly. Had 4 or 5 guys that knew what they were doing and it went to overtime at 3-3 which we then capped out. The flags were in standoff for the majority of the game. I hope games like this happen more often.

It went to 4-4 (I captured a couple
) and the final stand off was intense. I am pretty sure I got back my teams flag 4 times and the battles within midfield got your heart pumping. Shame my team lost because I got killed by an orbital strike just about when I was going to retrieve my teams flag Next 3 games I just destroyed and won 5-0 each time being top of the leader board 
Is there a OcUK clan and will there be a server in the near future?

Well run fraps while you play or there is a console code. I really doubt your 5770 would not handle it on medium. http://tribesone.com/forum/showthread.php?24016-Any-of-you-guys-running-an-ati-card my 6850 is supposed to be abit quicker than your 5770 and i run 1920/1200 max settings around 60fps with drops to 40fps.

Not sure on a ocuk clan but ive been approached by a guy whos putting together a team. Dunno what sorta level your at but depending what position you play if your interested i could put your name forward. I think there lacking a decent sniper and a few spots on defence.

I only started playing when it was 'released' but I have gotten pretty good at it. Unfortunately I play soldier mostly and mostly play in mid field and protect the flag capturer or retrieve my teams flag. But I do defend sometimes and I have played sniper a little (I played sniper for my TF2 clan and I was very good at it but I don't really want to be the sniper again
).I don't mind changing position if needed.

Had a few games like this myself. One in particular the other night was at 4 - 4. Their flag carrier was feet away from capturing the flag. I came over the top of a hill with the Pathfinder, and put a Spinfusor disc right in the middle of about 6 guys at their base in a desperate attempt to do something, killing the flag carrier. I was carrying enough speed to go straight through, returning our flag and grabbing theirs
I got killed shortly after, but I had a Pathfinder following me who picked the flag up after I was killed and scored. One of those epic moments that I could probably never repeat
My friend who was playing Technician was confused when he saw their flag get within feet of a capture, only to see 'flag returned to base'
