FYI, you should get the rest of the TFU boys on this. Has a very nice team element to it and you can easily start PUGing stright away.

Played it at LAN a lot apparently.

I have enjoyed my brief time on there. See if I can convert a few of them over to at least give it a try. :P
 
Wow this thread is getting active, almost a page of replies since i last checked, nice to see Tribes getting more attention.

Samsung - I'm up for some games tonight!
 
It is but it's also a little frustrating as there are loads of new players trying to run and gun and Llama grabing. I think Hi Rez should force you to watch a 2 min how to play CTF before you're allowed to play.


One other idea that I had is that it would be really nice if you could actually designate yourself a role such as light defense, heavy offence, caper etc. Adding VOIP (with cappers getting priority) would also be very nice.

I couldn't agree more 2142 did this with Titan mode: link. Something like that would be very beneficial for Tribes.

Very true.

I was familiar with the whole ski/JP stuff from the originals.

I am by no means good at skiing but there are definitely those among the new players that have no idea what it is.

Saw one yesterday, just bunny hoping along. Felt sorry for the fella as I wized past at 250kph. If you guys want a lesson speak to Samsung or Jim.

I guess we have that with classes on reflection but it's less explicit. Perhaps a video would be just fine.

People have made introduction videos for CTF, but new players or most of them don't look for them, if an introduction video was included for new players that they had to watch the first time they played CTF, I feel it would educate a lot of people.
 
Just downloading this again right now, haven't played since January/early Feb.

Can anyone give me a rundown of all the important changes and updates since then so I don't have to look at patch notes. :)

Would also like some people to play with as that's the reason I stopped playing it in the first place!

I asked kiwi1 what has changed. He replied "everything pretty much."

GG's tonight lads. That last game was so even it was silly.
