Trick or treaters

Millions. I live on a new build estate so it’s families with young kids as far as the eye can see. I don’t bother going to the door I just put a tub of toffees on the doorstep and they can help themselves. They’re normally gone after a few visits but that isn’t my problem.

We've had about 38 this year, mainly in groups of two or three.

I'm just about to bring the pumpkin pop up in, as we've not had any for 45 minutes and IIRC in my area the mum's tend to arrange for it to be going on between about 5-8pm and only to houses with decorations on show (to avoid them knocking on the doors of people that don't want to deal with it).

Quite busy for us, probably had about 10-15 knocks. We buy sweets every year but we usually get one knock or none, I think as we are on a small cul-de-sac of 10 houses up a steep hill so people don't bother.

The other day I bought an inflatable pumpkin thing on clearance which I put on the front lawn and I turned my Eufy light to orange so we were more visible from the bottom of our street. I'll be honest after a few years of wondering why nobody comes to our house tonight was a bit of a pain :p

This year's Halloween seems to be quite hyped up for some reason. I noticed parents with their kids in their costumes roaming around during the day, probably to keep their kids hyped enough to burn off all that sugar from tonight. :D

I've not had any trick or treaters tonight, but I never usually do anyway, so it's just another normal night for me. As above, I thought people did their houses up and put pumpkins/etc outside to let trick or treaters know they are welcome. The unwritten rule tends to be not to call at houses that don't appear to be decorated.

Bought ****loads of sweets last year, and hardly anyone knocked, so I pretty much almost made myself diabetic over the preceding weeks. Dialled it back this year and got ****loads of Trick or Treaters at the door. It’s like they know, they somehow know, like sharks with blood in the water.
